Located on the outskirts of Toronto’s vibrant Yorkville neighbourhood, the MIMI story begins with memories of the past. Loud conversation over plates of steaming noodles. The rush of servers moving quickly about in starched white dress shirts and pressed black bow ties. Darkly lit nooks with deep shades of red. The clanking of cutlery as cocktails are shaken swiftly in the background. A fragrant scent of Sichuan peppercorns toasting in the wok. Moments of celebration and togetherness over both new and familiar food. MIMI Chinese offers a place of wonder that brings back a taste of the past.

Mister Jiu's, helmed by executive chef Brandon Jew, is a contemporary Chinese American restaurant in San Francisco. We're excited to present this tasting experience created by Brandon and the MIMI team. Given the nature of this menu, we are unable to accommodate guests with the following dietary restrictions: no gluten, no soy, no shellfish, vegetarians, and vegans.

    The crispy shrimp is a bit greasy tasting and the scallion rice didn’t have much flavour. Peppered beef was good, but not sure if it’s worth $125

    After a wonderful first experience we had to try Mimi again - it did not disappoint. This time was for my parent's Anniversary and I'm so glad we decided to choose this restaurant. The food is so exciting and full of flavour! The cocktails were also incredible - we shared the 'tea' service and I have to say its highly recommended. The wine list was also great, but could use more Canadian influence. Overall though, the effortless service was what brought everything together. Our server guided us through the menu and arranged a perfect supply of plates to keep us both intrigued and completely satisfied. Another outstanding evening - thank you Mimi!

    Ok so I’m not a lover of Chinese food. I thought everything was very tasty my friend LOVED every dish. So I take that at high praise. Service, atmosphere everything was 5 star. Really lovely dining experience.

    Great night out. Helpful, friendly hosts. Lively atmosphere. Could've done without the cucumber salad, our only misstep. Best General Tao we've tasted. Will def return
