All our seafood is delivered to our kitchen daily by the best suppliers and only the absolute freshest, exceptional quality fish and shellfish are to be selected. Line-caught, trap caught or sustainably farmed in Canada is our goal and commitment. We only want to procure and serve responsibly sourced seafood without compromising our ocean habitat.

Food was amazing as ever and the service was incredible - thanks Emily F! Modern is our go to for special occasions and it never disappoints, 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely the best food we have had in a very long time! Our server was super friendly, energetic and so knowledgeable about the entire menu. Beautiful ambiance! 10/10 service and food. Would highly recommend.

Dinner was amazing. Our server was excellent. We all had a really lovely evening and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our second time back in 2 weeks because it was so great the first time as well. Highly recommend!

Celebrated a birthday here. 5 guests. It's a lovely place, very welcoming. We arrived right at 4pm. We shared the Modern Benchmark Showcase from the Modern Steakhouse menu. A great bonus that guests can choose between Steak and Ocean menus. The experience of the Showcase was great! Baked Alaska was quite the Birthday treat. Sides were delish, served family style so they didn't seem to stay hot for long. Amazing, knowledgeable server. I would return on a special occasion.

Modern Ocean was awesome! Everything I expected it to be. Their “date night” special was really good value, and the food and service was excellent. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the “sides” are as special as the entrees - ours were both fantastic! Highly recommend the risotto (with short rib topper) and the potato with gouda and magic bacon. We’ll be back! Too bad it’s so far from home - this would be our regular place…

Fabulous night! We had date night with friends, it was amazing! Highly recommend. Food was great, service was impeccable, will be back for sure.
