An intimate and beautiful family-owned Mornington Peninsula winery and restaurant with vineyard views in the heart of premium wine country. Wine and olive oil grown on site, served with Italian-inspired share plates. Sunny terrace in fine weather, cosy cellar room when it’s cold. Estate wines and barbecued quail are specialties. Lunch dishes change seasonally, estate-grown wine tasting all year round.

    Join us for a tutored tasting and guided walk through the glorious and very private estate at Morning Sun. Our deep dive into the terroir of this valley nestled in the Mornington Peninsula hills begins with an estate-grown sparkling wine on the terrace at Morning Sun and a meeting with your guide. We then take a gentle walk along the vine rows and have an in-depth personalised talk about the growth you see along the way. Taste the wines at your private table among the vines, then return to the winery.

    With vintage in full swing and the golden days of late summer still lingering, autumn has quietly arrived, bringing crisp mornings and a cool shift in the air. To celebrate the season’s rich, hearty flavours, Bernard McCarthy is crafting a Tuscan-inspired feast for the next Chef’s Lunch at Morning Sun. Drawing from the rustic traditions of the Italian countryside, the menu will feature game, earthy, bold & comforting flavours. Starting at midday, the full feast is $95, including expertly paired wines selected by Tony Lee.

    It was a beautiful late summer afternoon and we had a beautiful mean with the fixed courses. A lovely bottle of Rose complimented the food and surroundings. Will definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone

    This has to be the best value for money lunch experience on the Peninsula. The welcome drink and appetiser, the vineyard tour followed by three course lunch with multiple matching wines for each course for $90

    We had a lovely afternoon at Morning Sun. Enjoyed learning about the grapes and a little of the winemaking. Food and staff great. Definitely a place to visit regularly.

    Our table of 4 all enjoyed our lunch very much. We were able to enjoy some dishes we would not normally order. Dishes came out sometimes too quickly as table soon became overcrowded. Overall an enjoyable time.

    Great Paella lunch enjoyed by all. Table of 6 plus 2 strangers who quickly became a part of our group and celebration. A lovely way to spend an afternoon. Good food, good wine, good friends. xx

    We did a wine tour and the lady who showed us around was excellent- she was informative and friendly. We didn’t eat there as it was too early for lunch but menu looked lovely! Good range of wine.

    Another successful day at Morning Sun. It was almost perfect. However, the rice in the seafood paella was undercooked and therefore hard to eat unlike the second paella which was flawless!
