So happy to have stumbled upon Mr Chester. Tucked away, warm and modern wine bar with a great selection of wines and fantastic cocktails. Service was wonderful

Great restaurant, terrific food, excellent service provided by Harry. Wine list unnecessarily expensive in my opinion.

First time in Brisbane and we got very lucky when booking a table at Mr Chester. Harry was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and guided us well. We throughly enjoyed trying different sparkling and wines than we would usually have at home in WA.

Unfortunately, they were down a chef the evening we were there so some menu items weren't available. That said, the menu is short but that makes life easier. We both had a pasta and rated it highly, al dente pasta was quite special. I was on Dry July and found the non-alcoholic cocktails amongst the best I have had during this most unusual time in my life (no-one believes I am almost over the finish line), will try the real ones next time....I t is advertised as a wine bar but doesn't have a large selection although my Chardonnay guzzling buddy was very happy with his one and only selection! Noise is high and it is small so make sure to book. I think it is a good place to start a night with some good food, decent drinks and then move uptown a little for some action - if that's your persuasion (or, like us, go home early - nothing good happens after 8.30pm in the Valley..)

The food was very good and great that you could order a few at a time to saviour and enjoy. The steak tartare was superb. For a few of the dishes, the steak tartare and the white anchovy dish a few extra pieces of bread would be good.

Our visit to Mr Chester Wine was delightful, highlighted by a delicious and reasonably priced Italian red wine. The appetizers were exceptional: olives with whipped goats curd, baked Camembert with truffle honey, and burrata with smoked salt, all perfectly paired with the wine. The chill ambiance and friendly staff made for a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Mr Chester Wine is a fantastic spot for great wine, delicious food, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing vibe, very relaxing, food was very good though extremely over priced for what you got. Really disappointing. When you pay those prices you expect more than 3 slices of proccuto! Such an ambient place just the tiny servings the let down. Probably won't go again.
