Based out of Frisco, Texas, Musashi is a upscale casual Japanese restaurant specializing in sushi, izakaya, and tapas-style dining. We offer items ranging from small plates provided over several courses, to interactive tabletop tastings. Our dishes can be paired with a diverse selection of Japanese sake and whisky to elevate the overall experience.

Our goal is to present the community a reliable option to enjoy quality cuisines and service, while being able to relax in a more elegant yet inviting atmosphere. They have a unique menu outside of sushi, sashimi, nigri servings and I see they are trying to innovate and improve. We really liked some of the dishes and I know they are trying to tap into the right vendors for their offerings. I think the place has great potential and look forward to tasting more of their food in the future. The old fashioned drink we order was top notch! The ambiance and setting to go with that refined drink and food is a bit of a miss. I can't decide if its a date night place or a family friendly place or sit at the sushi counter and see the masters at work! Keen to see its evolution.

We have returned with friends 2-3 times for very fresh, authentic Sushi and the broad range of premium sakes. The staff is knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Great spot!

I was excited to take my son for his bd to have hamachi collarbone which is his favorite. I have been here before and was great but this time it was horrible .It was so dry and the piece they gave us was tiny compared to my previous experience. Thinking this was the worse part but I was wrong. The rice was hard. My son even said it tasted old. He ordered yellowtail sashimi and also was nothing fresh or anything he was excited over. Very disappointed in this place I can see why we were the only people dining there. Place was empty. Will not be returning. I hate that I took him there for his bd. Hostess and waitresses were lovely as always.

My wife and I travel all over the metroplex every Friday evening to try new places. This Friday I chose this place based on reviews. These views all must be locals who never try sushi outside their bubble. Their food is ok and not the best around by any means. Their staff is friendly and attentive and atmosphere is nice and casual. Their food is well not as advertised. My wife ordered “Hibachi chicken” it was grilled not hibachi. The maki rolls are different but palatable and not noteworthy. I encourage people to move around and don’t get stuck eating where convenient, but open your mind to the world that you aren’t familiar with and drive a little further and find the other places near you.

This was our first time dining at Musashi and we loved it. Both of us decided to get things started with a glass of Mohua Sauvignon Blanc. So refreshing particularly in the summertime. I had the Hibachi Lobster. Delish. She sampled the Nigiri and the Sashimi. Fabulous! She could not have been happier. We can't wait to return! Highly recommend!
