Nami Nori is a casual, Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki hand rolls, in the West Village. The menu features signature hand rolls, including crunchy varieties, as well as classic versions, and a special vegan section. Japanese-inspired snacks and desserts are also on offer. Beer, sake and wine are available both on tap and by the bottle.

    There’s nothing better than sitting at the Temaki Counter and having the chef personally hand you each piece! This chef interactive reservation will be at the Temaki counter, which is a high top format. Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

    Grab a seat in our indoor dining room and enjoy a server driven experience! This reservation will be seated at a traditional table inside. Reservations at tables will receive their Temaki in complete sets. To guarantee the most crisp nori, each piece will be wrapped in a plant based wrapper that you’ll remove when you’re ready to enjoy! Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

    Not only was the food, service and ambience awesome as usual, but they were very kind. My son had a last minute medical emergency and the staff was were very understanstanding and gracious to me and gave me a table and served me a drink while I waited for my son to join me.

    I just love Nami nori. Having celiac and a tree nut allergy really makes dining out mental gymnastics and an act of faith but Nami nori always impresses me but foodie friends too. So thankful for the location and delicious eats . Favorite things : truffle mushroom , tempura (bc duh but also great portions and aioli) miso soup (not your average one) honestly all the sushi is great but stand outs are always uni and scallop. Don’t miss out on the churros .

    Incredible experience. 1000% the place to go for gluten-free diets and 'gluten-full' diets alike. Will be back ASAP

    Food and drinks were delicious and great service, although I found shards of glass in my food, which I ended up ingesting. Without glass was a 10/10

    overall experience was perfect. the service was very good. I had to change my reservation from part of 2 to 3 and hostess was able to accommodate us. The service was super good and the overall atmos and aesthetic interior design was nice. I wish the food was slightly less salty. Maybe it is just me as I come from Korea and I had hand rolls growing up in Korea and this hand roll is designed for American taste buds but, it was slightly on the salty side for me.

    Loved our dinner at Nami Nori. The servers were very helpful and clear about the menu. The fries and shishito peppers were amazing. I truly appreciate this place as someone who eats gluten free from necessity. The menu has many options for vegans and my friend said the temaki she had was the best ever. If having dessert, make sure to include the churros with lemon curd. They are spelled differently on the menu but similar.
