    We recently enjoyed a date night at Neighborhood Services on Oak Lawn, and while the evening started a bit rocky, it ended on a high note. When we first sat down, the service was noticeably slow, and we weren’t sure who our server was supposed to be. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, took our drink and food order, and helped set things in motion. Shortly after, a staff member came by to share the specials, and she was absolutely wonderful. She ended up taking over our table, and from that moment on, the experience turned around completely. We kicked off the evening with a Cosmo, which was perfectly balanced and delicious. For starters, we ordered the coconut shrimp and deviled eggs, and they were incredible—crispy, flavorful, and arrived surprisingly fast after the initial delay. Our meal continued with a chopped wedge salad, which was fresh and satisfying. For mains, we couldn’t resist the specials: the halibut and a pasta dish. Both were expertly prepared and absolutely delicious—true standouts that highlighted the restaurant’s quality. Despite the slow start, the warm and attentive service from our new server, paired with the fantastic food, made for a wonderful evening. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and a cozy atmosphere, Neighborhood Services is worth a visit—just be patient with the initial service!

    We had a group of six, and everyone loved their dishes. Our waiter, Markus, was fun, but also efficient. We will definitely be back.

    From the time you are greeted at the entrance you are treated exceptionally well. Service is impeccable.

    Our server, Yanai, was incredible and the manager, Nicholas, was clearly focused on making sure everyone’s experience was great. The food was out of this world. Every second of this experience was awesome.

    Amazing experience! Took some out of town family there and they loved it. Food was great and service was excellent!

    Food was great. Sat at the bar and service was good, would rate it higher but got charged double when I switched from white to red. And $38 for Macallan 12 seems a little steep.

    We were in a booth set for 4 however they SQUEEZED 6 adults in this booth . Not acceptable. If you have a reservation for 6 request table not booth . 4 adults is max . Very uncomfortable with 6 adults

    Their bar service is very slow. It took 10 minutes to get a glass of wine. By then my wife had just about finished her entree

    Food was excellent! Great location with room to breathe and good parking. Our sever Yania disappeared after first hour. She never came back to check on us throughout our meal. We had to flag her down each time. She also wanted our party of eight to order all of our apps entrees and sides at once. when we insisted to start with apps first she was visibly not happy about it. It’s odd since I’ve been to the lovers one location and we never were asked to order all at once so it’s easier on the kitchen. Feels like that is an operational motion the restaurant needs to handle and not the customers. That really dampened our otherwise positive food and service experience.

    The service was slow, the food was too salty, the floor was slippery (like with grease), and it was crazy loud. We won’t be returning
