    We had a pretty good visit to Neighborhood Services. We had a reservation but still waited about 15 minutes for our table to be ready, which would have been fine, but the bar was completely full and so were the other seating areas, so we had to just hang out in the entry. Once we were seated, my wife was overwhelmed by the noise at our table in the middle of the dining room (we could not really talk to each other over the noise), so we asked to move to a booth on the side and it was much better. We split a Caesar salad (underwhelming) and some fries (good and dipping sauce was very good) to start. I had the pork chop and it was very good, except that it was over charred. My wife had the half chicken and said that it was bland. For desert, she had the chocolate mousse and said that it was good. I had the butterscotch custard which came with pretzel sticks and caramel popcorn. The custard was great and the pretzel sticks were good dipped in it, but the caramel popcorn seemed like a handful of popcorn from a Christmas tin. It could have been something special, like homemade caramel corn or hot, fresh popcorn drizzled in caramel, but it was not special. My first Texas Old Fashioned was great, the second one did not have any cherries...

    Great atmosphere with great customer service! And the house level was at a medium so was able to enjoy dinner with my wife without it be too loud

    Food tasted great and had a good vibe. Everything was brought out in a timely manner. Old fashion and marg were excellent.

    My first time back since the original location at Forest and Preston. We went to the Oak Lawn location. The food, service, and decor was exceptional. It may be my favorite place!

    Overall, great food and service. This location has a better atmosphere than other locations and service was spot on.

    As usual, the food was very good and the service top notch. Our waiter was brand new but was very pleasant and although he had to go seek a couple answers to questions we had about the specials, he was very professional. This is a favorite spot for business lunches when I need something close to downtown and not stuffy but also not too loud.

    I honestly don't understand why the restaurant isn't busier. Yes, there are lots of options in the area. This restaurant delivers consistently on portion size, taste and fair pricing. They excel at service (request Markus!). We stopped by for a light bite. My wish is for more light bite options, particularly appetizers.

    Bar tender was a grouch. Split salad was dropped on our table as one large salad Prime rib was almost cold when served They took it away seemed like microwaved it and brought the dis back without the side dish which came in the original plate. I think the waitress was new. Apparently no one told the manager food was sent back because she passed by the table to take the check and didn’t ask about the experience. We have been to this location many times and thus time was a bad experience
