Nixtamal is a traditional maiz process that has been a staple for Mexican food since the Mesoamerican cultures. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Nixtamali Molino + Comedor is a unique Mexican culinary experience bringing flavors from different regions of Mexico like: Mexico City, Yucatan, Oaxaca among other Northern regions of Mexico.

Over the years, the value of corn has deteriorated, and our main objective is to revive and maintain this value in Mexican gastronomy. Nixtamali Molino Comedor is an authentic and regional Mexican cuisine in the United States. More than a restaurant, we offer an experience that takes you to Mexico with its flavors and, with the nixtamal process, to pre-Hispanic times.

I could sit here and write a two page review, but I’ll make this very simple. GO EAT HERE NOW!! It checks all the boxes. It would be hard for me to tell you what was my favorite was BUT I would say the ribeye tacos may be the winner. Honestly it would be like trying to pick a favorite child. lol. Service was fantastic, loved the environment and food was beyond. My father lives in Mexico so I could tell you from experience this is the real deal. Enjoy!

The service was warm, customer centered and detail oriented. The food was created using the finest ingredients. The chef and staff demonstrated tremendous skill in the preparation as the taste and presentation reflected this. The staff was very tuned into each customer. The ambiance was intimate and had a warmth of a small restaurant yet the food and service of a 5 star dining experience.

Checked all of my boxes! Guava Margarita was perfect! Food was perfect! Service was over the top perfect! Keeping this on my faves list.

I so wanted to love this place, but it fell short on flavor and very short on value. Three round chips (seriously) for two people for sharing salsas? Unacceptable even for “free.” An additional 3 totopos would have been $2.99. Nope. The featured masa, while nixtamalized and ground on site, was under seasoned on every dish adding little to the overall appeal. The octopus ($17.99) on the tostada was tough and chewy and, again, under seasoned as was the ribeye on the three little street tacos ($29.99). Between the underwhelming flavors and the overwhelming prices, I’m sad to say it does not inspire a return visit.

Food needed more flavour. The cochinita was not cochinita. Our dog never got her water. Service was great. Looking forward to seeing them improve, I’d def go back again.

Beautiful space, amazing food, really weak cocktails, but very lovely staff and incredible food albeit small portions. Beautiful overall!

Incredible food and wonderful staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious with flavors authentic to mexican cuisine. The carnitas and margaritas are the bomb. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening out or even to go on a Sunday for brunch. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering an incredible selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. Hands down, some of the best mexican food I’ve had !

Really good food - really good service Nice smart wine and cocktail menu Chef Arturo Fernandez and his talented team delivers authentic flavors with elevated concepts and beautiful plating My only regret was not being able to try all of the many more items that I wanted to devour Guess I need to come back again and again You can count me in!

I heard good things about this place and am so glad I tried it. Everything from the service to the food was exceptional. Their offerings are very unique and they have a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. Their dessert was amazing too! My only issue was the order in which our food came out. There was a delay in getting our appetizer so our entrees came before our queso fundido. However the staff was very apologetic about this and reassured us it was coming. Service was also on the slower side, but we weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t matter too much. Overall, I highly recommend this place for elevated, authentic Mexican food. I definitely will be back!
