   This was our second trip to Nolia. We arrived a bit early but the hostess took us back to the bar where we enjoyed our cocktails. Our table was ready in just a few minutes and our server did an excellent job going over the menu that had recently changed up for spring. The cornbread in a skillet is a must. Our two entrees were delicious and portioned just right for us. We’ll have to return for one of the desserts! We’ll be back. And the location is perfect for taking in a concert at Music Hall or spending some more late night time in OTR.

   Delicious. We had the Chefs Table and it was wonderful. Terrific floors and great service. I would do it again.

   Great pre-theater dinner. Chris made sure we got our orders in to accommodate our schedule and made great recommendations on drinks and food. Spring menu just debuted. Small plates of alligator andouille (with wonderful collard green remoulade), firefly squid and cornbread were excellent. Crab, Mackerel and Beef Tongue large plates were each magnificent. Our table was next to the open kitchen and all staff were friendly and engaging with us - including owner/chef Jeff.

   All staff is sooo wonderful lots of experience. Jeff owner is friendly wonderful man , food is super great, this is 3rd time we come back and we’ll come back next week with new summer menus ❤️

   What a great dinner. Food was excellent and the chef was walking around talking to the patrons. He suggested a few things that we would not otherwise have ordered but did and they were phenomenal. Great restaurant for a meal and a great dining experience.

   First, it was FREEZING inside this place. We were shivering the entire meal. We ordered our food- Mama Wanda, Duck Breast, spinach side, and skillet cornbread. The spinach and cornbread came out 20 minutes before the rest of the meal. We wanted the sides with the meal. The waiter got us a new skillet cornbread, but left the spinach and didn't bring a fresh one when our food came. The main courses were- lacking. The duck Breast was tough and for the $50 price point it was ridiculously over priced. The Mama Wanda was advertised as shrimp and scallops with grits. The shrimp was great, one of the largest pieces of shrimp that I have ever seen. The scallops however, there were two tiny cut up pieces included in the meal. We ended up spending $260 at this place ( we got a bottle of wine) and it was not worth it. I was so disappointed, this was a birthday celebration and we left a lot of the food on the table. The cold spinach, duck breast half eaten and the rest of the grits etc. I'm not sure I would try this place again even when the menu changes.

   Excited about trying the much lauded Nolia and liked it overall but probably won’t return as it is very expensive. We thought the $90 seafood tower could have been more generous. The chicken gizzards were tiny, chewy and just ok. The tiger prawn was impressive as was the tasty grits risotto. The small skillet of cornbread & butter were the stars and we ordered two of them for $30 which seems like a lot. Drinks were good, service attentive. You are basically sitting in a large kitchen for dinner but it’s cute.

   Food was very good! The specialty Huckleberry Hot Sauce was very delicious.

    The cornbread was a oversell. The loose ground cornmeal made for a crunchy cake? The giant single shrimp from Australia was good but overpriced. The custom drink of the day was pricy.
