    No Air conditioning, tables near us were not cleared the whole time we were there, we were squashed in and had to keep moving for people walking by, we booked- got there early (parking was a nightmare) and were told we had the long table in the window. We hung out in the pokies (only airconditioned section) for an hour while we waited for our booking and when they directed us to our table, they had halved the length and we didn't get the window. The food came out quite quickly but only half the docket and then a wait for the other half on the same docket. I felt sorry for the staff as there were so many people and they were clearly understaffed and unable to keep up with cleaning and bar service etc the place was filthy. We will never go there again and I will tell others not to bother. We are RSL members in Vic and like to support the RSL when we travel but this experience was dreadful and we would have left, and were very tempted to do so but we would have been charged $30/person on the credit card I booked with ($180). Someone needs to manage this place and raise it to the standards of its prime position and the RSL. Beyond disappointed.

    Fans were not turned on until late. It was a hot day and the place was packed so it was like a sauna. There were no chicken schnitzels left which ruled out multiple options from the menu which was disappointing given that we purposely chose an early time (5:30) to minimize the likelihood of that problem. Given the time of year, you were also understaffed and the bar staff were completely overwhelmed

    Great experience - 5 stars. Venue very full, but the booking system running inside seems to work very well

    The check in process was very slow and took a long time to move the line but once we weee seated we received excellent service from the staff. The room we were seated in was very hot so more A/C needed there but otherwise food was good, drinks were good, prices were great and the view was beautiful.

    The day was good until a RAP DJ arrived. What a dreadful noise and ruined the conversation at our table of 70 year old people who had arranged a 48 year reunion. We we not told when booking about this DJ otherwise we would NOT have booked the venue. This is an RSL Club NOT a teeny boppers disco for goodness sake?! Whoever sanctioned this DJ arrangement needs to rethink this decision?

    Love the RSL at North Bondi! It’s such an iconic location and it has fantastic ambience. Every demographic. It’s a winner!

    Disappointing and unwelcoming first experience. We weren’t greeted by staff and stood at the front for a bit before getting someone behind the bar to help with our booking. The two of us were seated at a table for 10 in a separate glass room alone with a sign that said the room was closed, and chairs were stacked up along the wall. Despite there being many open tables, we were told they were all booked. We first thought we may be underdressed and seated away from everyone due to that, but then noticed there were men wearing thongs, tshirts, tank tops, swim trunks, and one had a beach towel around his neck so that didn’t appear to be the reason. From the outside it seemed like a nice atmosphere and view which is why we booked, but we didn’t expect to be seated in a quiet room alone, separate from the dining room, with only a view of people smoking in the alley. The food quality was nice, but overall bland. No one was ever seated in the room with us. When we left, there were still tables available in the dining room. Overall a very unwelcoming and confusing experience. Still left wondering why we weren’t seated in the dining room with the other patrons. The only friendly staff was a lovely man at the front desk before we entered the restaurant.
