North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets on our outdoor patio overlooking Forest Lake, or enjoy a table in our panoramic indoor patio, year round.

Been here twice now, once for Mother's Day brunch and once for Valentine's Day dinner, and it was perfect for both occasions. Great views of the lake if you can get a seat by the window, but still great ambiance even if you can't. Entrée selection was small but delicious. Would definitely recommend for special occasions or date nights.

The food is always delicious and fresh tasting. The servers are courteous and efficient. My only problems are the napkins are inadequate for sticky chicken wings, and the noise level is frequently off-putting. The latter is not North Point’s fault, just the product of people who don’t prefer a calm dining experience.

My husband and I brought two friends with us to have dinner. The friends suggested that we have dinner at North Point Kitchen + Bar after we first brought them here for an outdoor dinner this past August. It was very relaxing to sit outside by the water and watch all the activity on the lake last summer and just as nice and relaxing this time to sit by the window and watch people and their pets on the frozen lake! Our dinner experience was great back then, and just as good this time! My husband ordered the salmon dinner and the rest of us all ordered the rigatoni with mushrooms and sausage entree, which was called ""Forager's Zitti" on the online menu site. All four of us loved everything about the food and it was just as good as we remembered from this past summer. We all said we will definitely return again.

The food was delicious, atmosphere great, service outstanding. All 4 of us have burgers and fries that were delicious. The drinks by Mixologist Tanner were excellent. Chef Joel’s family owned restaurant is one of the top in the area. We will be returning very soon.

I had a business lunch. We sat by the window. Server was excellent. Food was good. It was quiet and the setting was very pleasant.

This was our third time eating here, first time sitting inside. Excellent all the way around. A great addition to our area.

Nice menu. A little limited but all good choices. Looking forward to going back in the summer. Will return before then. Very very nice view. Server Ashley was a 10!
