Skyline Lodge features Indigo Road Hospitality Group's Oak Steakhouse, a contemporary steakhouse restaurant. Oak's menu includes steakhouse classics with a modern flair, utilizing Certified Angus Beef and local ingredients. The steakhouse, designed by Skyline's interior design team, Mey & Co, seats up to 80 guests in an intimate and inviting dining room lined with luxurious leather banquettes, a custom floor-to-ceiling wine display, and three original working native granite stone fireplaces. Chef Luke Owens is the chef-owner of Native Fine Diner and Julep Contemporary Kitchen in Greenville, North Carolina. Piedmont-born and Eastern NC-raised, he brings over 15 years of experience to his inventive diner menus that blend creativity with nostalgia. Luke honed his craft in Raleigh, NC, working at Coquette and The Raleigh Times Bar before heading east in 2016 to lead the kitchen at Boiler Room Oyster Bar. By 2017, he had joined the team at acclaimed Chef & the Farmer as Chef de Cuisine. His deep commitment to local partnerships and honoring regional flavors continues to shape his culinary approach.

Chef Jill Mathias, Executive Chef and co-owner of Chez Nous, is known for her ever-changing, handwritten menu inspired by the rustic flavors of Southern France, Northern Spain, and Northern Italy. A Johnson and Wales graduate, she refined her craft in kitchens across the Lowcountry, as well as Seattle and Martha’s Vineyard before leading the iconic Carolina’s Restaurant in Charleston. In 2014, her and her husband, Juan Cassalett, opened Chez Nous, a welcoming neighborhood spot where European comfort food takes center stage.

                                                                            We enjoyed a cocktail on the patio prior to dinner. Our server was very nice. My husband had the venison wrapped in puff pastry and said it was good. The trout was delicious but serving it Mediterranean style was a bit off. Do not pass up the bread! When we left we were given 2 small cakes to take home. It’s a beautiful setting and I would recommend it.

He told us he had had several patrons send it back for the very reason I worried about ordering it. I admired biscuits honestly. All 4 of us enjoyed our dinners and even had to get to-go boxes.
