We thought we would give our new area sushi place a try. The server must have been having a bad night because she was rude and made us feel rushed the entire meal. She seemed annoyed by questions and when I asked for a modification during the ordering process she snapped “I already put it in.” After appetizers I asked if I should put my dinner order in and she said “Yes if you are still hungry.” I thought it was condescending. We’ve been to many sushi places beyond Dallas and I believe it’s common practice to line up orders for the sushi chefs or inform customers of lead times. I asked for a roll recommendation and she stated the Himalayan roll was popular. Little did I know it is served on a brick of wet salt (could have given us a head’s up on that one). When I commented on how salty it was she said well customers order without the salt because it tastes bad if you don’t eat it quickly. Hello! I just stated we were new customers. I felt the owner went for the wow factor on presentation but it was not good. If I wanted a high sodium meal I’d go to Chick-fil-A. I wanted so much to like this place but I think it would be best to eat at the bar and order sashimi so it can’t be decorated. I have it three stars in case it was an odd case of bad service and being a new location, I hope they get better.

It was very nice the food was great the music was perfect all around great vibe will be returning with the whole family next time

Service was very good and timely - food absolutely excellent. Would definitely recommend Oishi at Preston and Forrest for anyone seeking a great Sushi experience.

It was very busy. The space has a lot of hard surfaces so it was very loud, but great food.

I’ve had friends rave about this new sushi restaurant, so I was eager to try it. Here are a few takeaways from my experience: -They don’t have green tea -The waitress was new and didn’t understand what nigiri was (IT’S A SUSHI RESTAURANT), and each thing was brought out one by one, so we couldn’t eat together -Delayed in refilling drinks (another waitress refilled it for us twice) -We waited almost 30 minutes to see if we wanted the check-by this time our table had been cleared Overall, it wasn’t a horrible experience as the food was really good-it was just negligence with service. I will give it another try and will hope for a better time.

Great food and service Best rolls are cesar and flower We also really enjoyed M&M and the uptoown roll Would definetly go back!!!
