Literally translating to "Trust The Chef Please," Chef Jeana Pecha's "Omakase Por Favor" is thrilled to open our second location in Midtown, Sacramento. We combine the best of Global and Coastal Mexican flavors with the immersive Japanese Omakase dining experience. Together with Chef Jeana, Chef de Cuisine Katerina Balagian craft a menu that showcases signature oysters, ceviches, and fresh, seasonal seafood, along with local vegetables and produce from trusted farms and suppliers. The service was exceptional and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely, but considering the price point we got very little food and left hungry. You could tell there was a lot of thought put into each dish and they were expertly crafted, but ultimately it felt too expensive for the quantity of food provided.

Katerina and her team are absolutely outstanding. Omakase Por Favor is one of the truly fine dining experiences in Downtown Sacramento.

Well thought out, intensely flavorful and inventive menu items. Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful to have in Sacramento, but would fit in with the top restaurants in San Francisco.

Usually you would expect the portions to be small on the omakase. However, the number of dishes did not match the price the restaurant charges. We felt there should have been at least a few more dishes. Thus, we felt it was heavily overpriced.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning in the future. The service was beyond exemplary. The food was inspired. We “trusted the chef” and were not disappointed. Every course was divine.

Truly a waste of money and time. I would revisit the disappointment but I’ve already wasted enough time on the terrible food. If you like pretentious dining partnered with mediocre food then this place is perfect. I honestly want my money back but I didn’t want to be rude to the staff so I just paid and left. Don’t waste your money like I did. Buyer beware this place is mid af and calling it mid is genuinely generous.
