Welcome to OROSOKO Sound Bar, a South End restaurant and cocktail lounge featuring a unique East vs. West menu, exquisite sound, comfortable acoustics and a team of gracious hosts, passionate in delivering inspired hospitality. This cocktail, or “listening”, lounge offers a unique setting to enjoy craft cocktails and relaxed fine dining from renowned Chef Jay Pound, while immersed in the curated sounds of a skilled DJ on our world-class audio system. There simply is nothing like it.

Indulge in our beautifully crafted signature cocktails, while savoring Asian and Latin inspired tapas-style shareables in a natural environment that exudes sophistication, comfort and luxury. At Orosoko, we pride ourselves on delivering a first-class, welcoming atmosphere that is stylish, but never pretentious. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - 4:30pm-12:00am (kitchen open until 10pm). Friday/Saturday - 4:30pm-2:00am (kitchen open until 12am). Sundays for brunch - 10:00am-4:00pm (kitchen open until 3pm).

Its soft leather cushions, dimmable chandelier, motorized velvet privacy curtain and separate sound system all represent the pinnacle of style, comfort and privacy for our most discerning clientele. OROSOKO is well known for its sound quality. The Shiki Booth takes it to yet another level with its own stereo configuration, sub bass and volume control. Tucked away in the corner of OROSOKO, the Shiki Booth is the most extravagant cocktail and dinner setting in all of Charlotte. Accessible only via the DJ booth and appointed with soft, supple leather upholstery, an enormous dimmable chandelier, and a retractable velvet privacy curtain, the Shiki Booth offers our most discerning guests the ultimate in luxury and privacy. OROSOKO is well known for its sound quality. The Shiki Booth takes it to yet another level with its own stereo configuration, complete with sub woofer and volume control. Whether you need a quiet space to close that big deal after work or want to zone in on the vibe the DJ is laying down, the Shiki Booth offers the perfect mix of amenities. Nice ambience. Small, intimate setting and the DJ played some nice vibes and kept the volume reasonable. The tables with the club chairs are a little bit uncomfortable in that the chairs are too low for the table. The service was ok. Our server did the bare minimum and would often disappear for long stretches of time. Empty plates and glasses would also be left on our table much longer than is appropriate. We had to ask for our table to be cleared. Cocktails were good and the food was good. The crab spring rolls and the desserts were delicious. I would go back, but probably not very soon. If the service is the same next time, we might not give it a third try. For the price point and presentation, service really needs to be much improved.

First time trying the place. Excited about it. Cool vibes and nice menu concept. Good atmosphere. No designated parking. Tapas style menu. The food was ok for the price/value and small portions. Tried the duck confit taco (1 pierce) crab burrito (2 pieces) chili crisp edamame, scallops (3 tiny ones for $28) and the corn fritters (flavorless). The service was ok - when paying the bill @ the end, I was initially asked to pay without an itemized bill…so I asked and was given the wrong bill to pay. It was a one & done experience for me. Thx

We enjoyed our date night! Tasty food, decent enough portion sizes , high prices but the ambiance and romantic vibe was worth it for us.

The restaurant had a nice comfortable vibe and food was eclectic, delightful and presented beautifully! Highly recommend for a romantic evening!

The the corner fritters were horrible, very thick bland cornmeal with few kernels of corn. The blue crab egg rolls were mushy and the rice cake that was on the bottom of the smoked salmon had no flavor. The servers were super slow, at that price point, I won’t be returning. The cocktails were good. Sadly nothing special about this establishment.

Experience was great and service was top notch. Many of the dishes on the east side lacked flair or flavor and were not hot. My favorite dish was the Hamachi on the east side. The DJ started around 7:ish and for such a small place the music was entirely too loud. Beating in your chest loud.

I really liked this place. The drinks, the atmosphere, the food was delicious. My only complaint is the small plate menu. I get that this is this restaurant's theme and menu, but if you are looking to eat in bigger volumes. This place is not it. Great date spot, maybe a great spot for a nightcap or getting a small bite to eat. But I would love to spend more time here enjoying their food, and I definitely did not get that with the small portion size.
