   Excellent sashimi, creative rolls, and a Japanese cheesecake that was an experience in itself. The only complaint I had was the noise level and the tight squeeze between tables. Will definitely be back!

   What a great addition to Laguna Beach! Oto Sushi has great sushi chefs whose sushi presentation matches the high quality of the food. All of the servers are efficient and personable and one feels very welcome by all.

   Food was good but the service was not. My wife and I sat at our table without a server coming by to even give us water for 25 min.

   The food is ok but doesn’t have a lot of flavor. Too expensive for average food.

   The service, location, ambiance and atmosphere were lovely. The sushi was good, but didn’t compare to sushi spots in LA. I have yet to find one in Laguna beach that does.

   Have been to Oto sushi many times and every time has been amazing. The sushi is so fresh and so creative and the service is outstanding… We had Wes tonight as our server. Thanks again for an amazing evening and we will be back.

   Trenton our server was great . The smoked octopus was out of this world . It was our 3rd time and will keep going back .

    We went for first time Sat night. There were some large parties downstairs which made it very loud. We were seated upstairs. Our server and all the food drop off’s were great employees but the sushi roll quality was like what you would get at groceries store. The garlic edamame was soaking in deep oil as well. Much better places to get sushi and more reasonably priced. The burger was excellent but just an odd menu for a sushi spot.

That said, we’re disappointed to see your assessment of our sushi, especially since you only tried one roll out of the 15 we offer. Our fish is fully sustainable and sourced fresh daily—something you won’t find at a grocery store. The burger is a guest favorite, and while unexpected on a sushi menu, we take pride in offering high-quality, diverse options. As for the garlic edamame, it’s meant to be sautéed, not deep-fried, so we’ll review that with our team to ensure it’s being prepared correctly.
