Our colleges of Cambridge inspired Afternoon Tea, offers a delicious selection of savouries & sweets created by our pastry team. With traditional finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones, accompanied by chocolate and almond delice, blueberry cheesecake, rhubarb and vanilla choux bun and raspberry and rose roulade - all served in the elegant surroundings of Parker’s Tavern. A free-from menu is available — please provide at least 3 days’ notice for any dietary requirements so our chefs can best accommodate your needs. We are regulars (2 x a year ) at Parker's. Always enjoy it. Good food. Great service. Wine a little bit on the expensive side.

The cakes and scones were very good I can't fault them. The sandwiches didn't have a lot of flavour and were rather tired. The Tea was served in a coffee pot , I would say it was a four cup pot with only two tea bags in it so the tea was very weak and flavourless. The sparkling wine was served in wine glasses rather than flutes as I would have expected. The tea was served and about 10 minutes after we had to ask for cups so we could drink it. We liked the anniversary touch.

Had the goats cheese salad & Rib eye steak….fabulous! And all the staff were welcoming ….will be back!

Overall food taste was good. Slow delivering wine and portion of ice cream was pitiful. Overall service was below what I expected for this establishment but atmosphere was very nice.

Very good service as always. Amazing roast beef, good duck. Very nice sourdough bread, exceptional really. Lovely prunes in bacon. My only suggestion would be the option to choose the veg/salad that goes with roast. The meat was exceptional, but next time I will see if the cauliflower can be substituted with salad. Lovely ambience, great view, will come back.

Interesting vegetarian dish (artichoke), excellent fish - a generous plaice fillet with clams. Service very well judged, wine list fairly priced.

Smart restaurant and relaxing pre dinner bar area. Menu suits all tastes , good well presented food. We have Pear Salad and Soup for starters , soup excellent ( Pea Spinach and wild Garlic) and Chicken and Plaice for mains , both cooked to perfection, plaice with a lovely butter sauce and clams, sides of Jersey royals. Baked Alaska and cheese for deserts. Nice wine list , if a bit heavy on pricing, opted for Italians , Gavi and Sangiovaise . Good table service and nice ambiance.

There should either be NO background music or else the volume level should be reduced as more diners enter the restaurant so that sensible conversations can be held.
