Our colleges of Cambridge inspired Afternoon Tea, offers a delicious selection of savouries & sweets created by our pastry team. With traditional finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones, accompanied by chocolate and almond delice, blueberry cheesecake, rhubarb and vanilla choux bun and raspberry and rose roulade - all served in the elegant surroundings of Parker’s Tavern. Just for the summer, enjoy a complimentary Children’s Afternoon Tea with every adult Afternoon Tea ordered, available from 1st July to 31st August 2025. A free-from menu is available — please provide at least 3 days’ notice for any dietary requirements so our chefs can best accommodate your needs. Please note: We require card details to secure your booking. This is not a prepayment — your card will only be charged in the event of a no-show or late cancellation, in line with our booking policy. We kindly ask you to review the full terms when making your reservation.

The food was very good and the service in the restaurant was good but considering we were one of very few tables the service was too slow when we moved to the bar area.

Food great as always… service seems to have dropped off unfortunately. Not sure some of the waiting team has a great knowledge of the menu. One starter was late and brought out with the main course.

I have always loved eating and drinking here. The surroundings are exquisite, the food is excellent and the location is outstanding. On this occasion, the drinks service was very slow, which was disappointing, especially in a relatively quiet bar. Otherwise, the staff were all pleasant and friendly and the food was excellent.

Unfortunately our experience was not as good as it should have been due to several mistakes with our food order. I had spoken with the restaurant prior to our visit, to give some dietry requirements, and despite the manager confirming these when we arrived - our food was still wrong!

We decided to go here for my wife's birthday and anniversary and we were disappointed with the service we received, food was great, the restaurant was very quite with about 10 other people, but we think they had another event on as the service was not great, they used wine glasses for the English Champaign we had, the dropped cutlery on my daughters phone at one point, they also spilt food on my lap and cleared the plates before we had finished our starter bread, the young girl was lovely and friendly and attentive and did apologise as these things happened, but we just felt they needed more training for the kind of place it is and the way they sell them selves... we have had better service from our local pub to be honest. Otherwise it was a nice evening and the venue is lovely, but we will try another venue next year as they also did nothing special for my wife even though they new it was her birthday and anniversary... last year they did her a lovely birthday plate...

Really enjoyed afternoon tea at Parker’s Tavern. We have a Celiac in the family and they were able to get a wonderful gluten-free and safe offering all to themselves. The food itself was delicious. Our only disappointment was that service was a bit slow especially to replenish drinks, even though there were plenty of service staff compared to number of occupied tables.
