   This is our 2nd time dining here….we travel to Carmel about twice a year. Love the ambience…..cute French decor and music. Cozy fireplace. Outstanding service. Delicious food! We both loved the French onion soup. I loved the beet salad and my husband enjoyed his beef bourguignon. Last time we enjoyed their chicken pot pie. The desserts were tempting, but we were too full. Looking forward to visiting again when we return to Carmel!

   Lovely decor and ambience, fantastic entrees: Beef Bourguignon, salmon en croute, angel hair pasta with prawn as well as terrific French onion soup gratinee! Save room for best desserts in town. Service is excellent as well. Recommend the Patisserie highly!

   Nestled in on a charming Carmel street, this cozy spot offers a delightful escape into the heart of French bistro-style dining. The ambiance effortlessly blends warmth and old school elegance, making it the perfect setting for a leisurely meal. The hearty, generous portions of home-style cooking evoke a sense of comfort and nostalgia, while the homemade desserts are nothing short of spectacular—each bite a testament to the care and craftsmanship of the kitchen. It’s become a cherished go-to for my wife and me whenever we crave a wholesome, home-cooked meal with a restaurant touch. On numerous occasions, I’ve introduced friends to this gem, and each one has echoed the same sentiment: the food is superb, and the experience harkens back to a time when dining felt more personal, genuine, and unhurried.    Our experience at the restaurant was excellent from the moment we arrived to moment we left. The ambiance and decor was charming, warm, romantic. There is not a bad area/table in the restaurant. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea.

   So good I had to return twice during our short break. The service was outstanding—warm and welcoming. Short rib amazing! Beef bourguignon delicious! Great wine! Lovely tasteful decor. Halibut was excellent. I loved the seating, fireplace, and menu options.

   Quintessential Carmel-by-the-Sea ambiance coupled with delicious cuisine, very reasonable pricing and attentive service. One of our favorites, especially if we have tickets to the Sunset Center, which is a short few blocks away. My husband chose the lamb shank entree (excellent and abundant) and I chose the fresh halibut with mashed sweet potato and garlic seasoned spinach. Superb! Both entrees were beautifully presented, too. We didn't have time for dessert, but know there's a full dessert display at the restaurant's entrance.
