Pedro’s Restaurants started on a shoestring budget in 1972 and has stood the test of time. We are proud to be a generational community staple and a leader in the South Bay’s dining scene for over 50 years. Pedro’s offers legendary Mexican food that warms the heart. Our newly reopened Los Gatos location offers a completely reimagined and redesigned space by John Sofio (Delilah, Poppy) and a menu that celebrates today while paying homage to yesterday by Chef Julio Aguilera (Saison, Copas, La Urbana).     This was our first trip back to Pedro's after the renovation. It is attractive, with a nice bar, lots of seating, and several rooms for either a private or semi-private function. Our server, George, was pleasant. The menu is quite small. One of our party wanted a burrito, but they are not an option. The tacos and the enchiladas were fine, but nothing special. It was a bit of a surprise to find that chips and salsa cost $7.00, and chips and guacamole are $15. Back in the day, chips and salsa were complimentary at Mexican restaurants. The salsa was OK, and the chips tasted like regular tortilla chips out of a bag - again, nothing special. I do understand that they need to make up their costs for the renovation, and the overall experience was OK, but at $100 for 2 people, it seemed a pricey place for lunch.

    The service was good. the food was just so so. Miss the authentic Mexican food. My boyfriend misses the carnitas. Bland food. No kick. Chips and salsa good of course.

    We heartily enjoyed a holiday late lunch/early dinner on New Year's Eve. Great food, attentive service and comfortable surroundings.

    Need something fresh to offset heavy food. It was very tasty but i was full til 2am

    Lovely renovations. The staff was very attentive. Trouble is, there were so many staff members coming by our table I couldn’t tell who was our server. We ordered old favorites from the old menu before the remodel. It was delicious. We’d like to see more moderately-priced items back on the menu. Otherwise, we may have to find a restaurant that is lower cost.that would be a shame, as Pedro’s has always been a favorite.

    Thank god they still have their yummy chips and salsa, the best ever. Service was very attentive and the menu and place is so beautiful. We very much enjoyed our lunch

    Fantastic experience. Probably the best Mexican food in the bay area. This is a total renovation with a beautiful restaurant and bar. Very inventive food and great Margaritas. Not to be missed.

    Our waiter forgot items we had ordered and then was very slow to bring them once reminded. We had to ask repeatedly for the check.

    The service was lacking. Seemed like the servers were disorganized and lacked communication. Food was good once we received the correct orders. We were disappointed you had to order and pay extra for chips and salsa and 1 order of chips and salsa was not enough for 6 and since the tables are so wide not everyone could reach the chips an salsa. Had to flag down someone to refil our (unfortunatly warm) water glasses. The remodel looks goodand the food was fine, just need to train and organize the service dept.

    Food was cold and tamale had no flavor. Margaritas watered down. So disappointed - I have been going to Pedro’s for 15 years. Will not be returning.
