   We made reservations for mother's Day and confirmed via OpenTable but we were also phone to verify. When I returned that call I only got a voice mail. Still, they had our reservations so all was good. There were three of us day at a fairly small bar table. We fit and the table and chairs were actually comfortable. The food was very good. Not a single complaint. Everything was delicious. We just had a couple of small problems. One could have been serious, but turned out okay. The corn chowder was on a lobster bisque base which would have been a serious problem for my mom. Luckily, we asked and my mom didn't have any. Instead of the soup, she had the red velvet pancakes. Amazing! The entrees were great, but there was a misunderstanding and our food took a very long time to arrive. They made it right and did good by us. We'd definitely go back.

   Chef Black has done it again! Eclectic food, good service and ambiance is good but music a little loud! Needless ID of a 76 yr old lady wanting a drink, without which no drink served!

   Went for Mother’s Day and couldn’t be more pleased. Beautiful restaurant, service was good, and food was excellent. Flower bouquet at end for Moms was classy touch

   Our server was Logan. He was phenomenal. Restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious. We had oysters, and the strawberry mignonette was so flavorful. Also had the fried okra and Kobe beef/scallop starters, and both were great. Roasted beet salad, again very good. Then flounder with lobster broth, and that broth was the best thing that came out of the kitchen. Also, the oven steak with duck fat pommes frites and finished with a selection of cupcakes for dessert. Steak was a bit grisly and chewy and needed a bit of salt, and the cake was a bit dry. The tables are very close together in some cases, our neighbors became part of our conversation very easily, it's was unavoidable. Overall fantastic experience, thank you, Logan, for curating.

   Made a reservation for brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day with my family. We were given the table a couple feet from the swinging door to the kitchen, which meant people were constantly walking by and we were constantly hearing the door slamming. This wouldn’t be that big of a deal if the restaurant was busy and this was the only table open, but there were plenty of tables open so there was seemingly no reason to put us at arguably the worst table. Also, with all the servers walking by you’d think we’d get good service, but unfortunately this was not the case. We sat for 30 minutes before we finally had to stop the hostess and ask if we had anyone assigned to our table and as it turns out, we didn’t. Even after placing orders for drinks, it still took an additional 15 minutes to get our waters and 20 for our drink orders. This was some of the worst service I’ve had in a while and it was really disappointing as I wanted to treat my mom for Mother’s Day. I will say, the food was very tasty, but the service and location of the table made it hard to enjoy.

   Logan was amazing. It was a 3-hour dining experience. Wish we would’ve known. Food was mostly great. Some cold and some lukewarm. Took about an hour and a half after ordering to get food. Typically 20 minutes from time of asking for something (wine, ice, dessert, etc) to get it. They seemed busy but maybe not staffed in the right areas. Wish they had bread and coffee.

   Our waiter Jason was amazing! He walked us through the menu and gave us great suggestions. First sure ask for him.

   The food was delicious. Very well prepared and beautifully plated. The entrees took a little longer to come out but the servers were actually very attentive. The cocktails were very good. I had the Call me Madam and the Kyoto Nights. Both were delightful. Highly recommend. Great dinner downtown especially before a show at the Civic Center.
