A cracking range of beers, liveners & pick me ups sit behind the bar, coupled with quirky art, curiosities, and plenty of cosy or lively spots to enjoy your pint and put the world to rights. The suntrap terrace at the front ensures the pub atmosphere spills out on to the lively high-street whilst at the rear a splendid secret garden promises to provide a welcome haven.

We enjoyed a Valentine's Day lunch at the Pied Bull. The food and service were great. Friendly, courteous staff.

A great experience as always. The pub has such a cosy atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Ben is sn asset to the venue . Had a fantastic meal withour friends. Thank you.

Having had an excellent lunch here recently, we decided to try early Saturday evening for dinner. One starter came as a mix of the special terrine and the normal one off the menu which unfortunately did not mix well. Without trying to make too much fuss I asked the waitress to let the chef know. Didn’t hear anything further from the kitchen. The special trout supreme came without the supreme and quite dry! The food was not horrible, it just lacked any kind of care, poorly presented and incorrectly prepared. Add to this a VERY loud disco going on in the background and I think the lesson hear might be to avoid Saturday nights when the emphasis is on night life rather than restaurant. Waiting staff were good and attentive! For above average pub prices, should be much better!

Unfortunately a little disappointed. Server was lovely but it was a little slow as she was on her own. The food was the most disappointing I’ve had there (after a fair few meals now) Korean chicken burger, nothing at all Korean about it. The slaw was a few slices of spring onion and radish, just very sad after previous meals being so on point. Will still return, hopefully it was one off.

Fantastic food, really enjoyed the sharing Camembert! Staff were so lovely and attentive always checking if needed anything! Would definitely recommend!

First time visiting since we’ve moved to the area, had a fantastic time and will definitely be back again soon. Food was Fab and couldn’t fault anything.
