Pietramala is a little restaurant located in Northern Liberties celebrating plants, wood-fire cooking and seasonality. We offer a small, regularly changing menu based on the highest quality, organic ingredients grown or made with care in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. Our Italian leaning, but globally inspired food is always presented simply with familiar flavors achieved in creative new ways. Often touched by fire, smoke or fermentation to unlock unique flavors, our dishes sometimes require days or even months of preparation. We pride ourselves on our open kitchen, where our wood-fired hearth takes center stage, and our commitment to friendly service and warm hospitality in an intimate, but lively atmosphere. All are welcome and our entirely plant-based menu can accommodate any allergy or dietary restriction with advance notice. We are currently BYOB and offer a small, seasonal alcohol free beverage menu. We look forward to welcoming you.

You will be able to view the whole kitchen in action and interact with the chefs as they serve your food. Please consider that this reservation is near the door and is bar seating. Restaurant is dirty and tables too close to bathrooms. Food was fair. Will not return.

Delicious food, cool vibe and ambiance. So many fantastic choices to choose from. Our 2nd time there in a month from out of town. Our top rated vegan restaurant in Philly, and I've been to them all.

Great meal! We sat at the counter and really enjoyed every dish. So inventive and unique, can’t wait to try it during another season.

I’m not a vegan and fully enjoyed my entire meal!! Focaccia, market salad, potato and cauliflower were out of the world— tasty and seasoned perfectly!!! Definitely a favorite stop for us.

I was very excited to be able to dine here for the first time with my wife here for a post-holiday relaxation meal. We selected to be able to sit at the pass when reserving our table online. Unfortunately, the pass is also right next to the door and it being the start of winter was not the greatest when more guests showed up to be seated by the hosts/servers. Additionally, the cooking area also has a speaker that plays music which we also happened to be next to and as the restaurant kept filling up, the noise level was close to being too loud. The food was fantastic overall. We could eat the mushroom and potato dish every day and never get sick of it and the broccoli risotto could be endless and I would not tire of the flavor. Truly remarkable dishes. However, the lasagna was filling but lacked something extra to make it shine. We appreciated the torched top, but it still felt like it was incomplete. We each had a separate dessert and loved them both, the sweet potato pie and cranberry cakes. The pricing is fair for the quality of ingredients and for the local sourcing.

A little pricey, but the food is incredible. Decent serving size, not typical pretentious fine dining pitiful portions. The focaccia was outstanding. Friendly and attentive service.

Amazing food! Every dish we had was so unique and flavourful. The ambience is nice and cozy. The servers were warm and friendly as well! Overall great experience.
