1 hour horseback ride through the Aspen trees with a Colorado cowboy to Lunch at the Pine Creek Cookhouse and an hour ride back. Private tour, lunch is A La Carte at the restaurant, doesn't include beverages, tax or 20% service charge. HORSE BACK EXPERIENCE BEGINS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO YOUR RESERVATION. We ordered the trout dip which was a hit, however, everyone at our table ordered the Salmon Bowl, as the description on the menu sounded delicious. However when it came out, the “cucumbers“ were actually pickles, making the carrots, red onions all taste pickled. The salmon was good. However, the whole dish tasted pickled. I don’t mind paying for good food, but $42 a plate that all went to waste. None of us could continue on with our meal. Thank God I asked for the “yum yum sauce” on the side, because that was anything but yummy. It was a big disappointment, as I was really excited to take my family who was visiting to Pine Creek Cookhouse after our hike in Ashcroft.

Hi Rachel, I am sorry your meal did not meet your expecations, that is not the experience we want guests to have, and hope you will join us again in the future. We would have been happy to make you a new dish if it had been brought to our attention. Several of the guests at your table ordered the bowl without the pickled vegetables, the menu description for that dish printed on the menu does describe the vegetables as pickeled so that there are no suprises. We hope you will join us again in the near future for a better experience.

Overall, non-plussed with Pine Creek. Views were amazing. Service was good. But the food was just meh. Nothing jumped out as spectacular or even really good. Food wasn’t bad, but $300 for two people wasn’t justified.

Best views in the world! The food is likewise amazing—we loved the elk stuffed mushrooms and trout dip. Great service all around.

Gorgeous setting. Charcuterie board is a must as a table starter. Food servings are very generous. Great menu selection.

Very disappointing. Used to be the best food and it was almost inedible. Service was bad too. So expensive. Beautiful views and a cute place but horrible food, has really gone downhill.

We came to celebrate a birthday. Sat outside on a beautiful day with a nice breeze. We were treated very well at every turn. Descriptions of all food and beverages were accurate. The food was very creative and delicious. The views were unbelievably stunning. If I lived in Aspen, I would be a regular.
