Porthminster Kitchen serves up a refreshing, playful take on Cornish cuisine, introducing a menu of smaller plates and lighter options which combine global flavours, fresh local ingredients and creative cooking.

We have stripped out much of what is unnecessary; dairy and gluten take a backseat in favour of fresh and exciting textures and flavours.

Porthminster Kitchen enjoys awe-inspiring panoramic views from its location in the heart of St Ives. From your vantage point above the harbour, escape the hustle and bustle and relax on our sun-drenched terrace, or gaze out from huge windows and take in the 180° view.
We are dog friendly but have limited space for our furry friends please let us know when booking to avoid disappointment.

    Beautiful meal last night. The food was so good. The steak was amazing, cooked so well and accompanied by fantastic potatoes and vegetables. Equally the fish linguine was gorgeous. It’s a lovely restaurant and very well presented, nice warm fire for a February evening and stunning views. Very attentive staff who looked after us very well

    Best mussels I’ve had in years and seafood linguine was terrific. This place always delivers and we love it!

    We were greeted warmly and ushered to our table in a most friendly fashion. The interior is delightful, warm and atmospherically lit. The music was well chosen, subtle and at the perfectly level to enable easy conversation. The starters, mackerel pâté for me, pork belly for my son came in a timely fashion and were delicious. Our mains of Sole with roast new potatoes, and beer battered fish with chips with tartar sauce were scrumptious . House Porthminster Sauvignon Blanc a perfect accompaniment. Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and a friendly chat with the staff rounded off a perfect evening.

    Staff were so helpful as I have a few food intolerances and they were so accommodation! Have visited many times before and never had bad food or poor service!

    Absolutely superb meal at the Porthminster Kitchen on Friday evening - tasty local food, beautifully presented, relaxed ambience and friendly, knowledgeable waiting staff. I would highly recommend visiting Porthminster Kitchen if you're staying in St Ives.
