A steakhouse: city vibe, local heart. Our menu is hand selected to feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Our head chef and owner Jason Carron has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron is opening his first steakhouse this spring, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.

Please note our dress code: No gym wear, hooded sweatshirts, shorts, or ball caps are to be worn. All men are strongly encouraged to have a collar. No tank tops. Jackets are not required.

    Food and service were outstanding as always. Only negative was waiting a half hour after our reservation time to be seated.

    One of the best restaurants on the North Shore. Filet and lobster tail special was a 10 with a uniquely seasoned butter for the lobster. Filet cooked perfectly medium rare as asked. Lobster tacos exceptional, perfect size, consistency and flavor. Tuna tar tar was high grade sushi as was the tuna entree. Lamb lollipops exceptional with a unique crushed cashew coating. Ribeye also exceptional. Wedge salad delicious. My cider donut old fashion was absolutely perfectly mixed. Love the semicircle hightop booths surrounding the bar. Service great. Only complaint was the authoritarian warning upon entry that we only had the table for 1.5 hours. Given the prices , I find any restriction of that kind ridiculous . We stayed for just over two hours with no complaints however, probably because our bill for 4 was $500.00, 3 apps, 3 salads, 4 entrees, 3 cocktails, 3 sodas which was worth the price given the exceptional quality and flavor of everything. Will definitely go back.

    Don’t bother. I find it ironic that their website boasts “come in, stay a while” when they tell you as soon as you walk in that there’s an expiration date on your dinner reservation. My best friend and I were sat at a table for two and were quickly greeted by our server. We were asked to order everything at once - drinks, apps, a salad, and entrees - and were promised they’d be coursed out appropriately to avoid rushing us. Our server was absolutely lovely and looked visibly disturbed when she came over mid-meal to tell us we only had our table for 1.5 hours (which we clarified since the hostess said 2 hours when she sat us). Given our ‘time constraint’ we were told our entrees would be fired shortly.. they showed up within about a minute of our server leaving the table. We finished our meal, were encouraged to consider dessert, but instead each ordered a second drink. We noticed what looked like a manager huddling with our server behind our table right before we were told there were two seats secured for us at the bar where we could finish our drinks. We were promptly asked to get up, and were escorted away from our table with our full drinks and the bill in hand. Never have I been told there was a time limit on my dining experience, implying the next customer’s dinner reservation is more important than ours. Not to mention, paying Boston prices in downtown Reading.. no respectful Boston restaurant would treat their guests the way we were treated. Bottom line - will never go back.

    The booth was so tight to sit in, was uncomfortable. Placed party near bar with guests swearing. Staff checked several times to flip the table when food wasn’t even served yet. No junior menu options. Pasta with butter outrageously priced!

    So glad Reading finally has a world class steakhouse. Chef Jason is a marvelous host and the food was incredible

    Over-priced. The crab cakes were the best we have ever had, and the Caesar salad the worst. Steaks were fine but not up to best steakhouse standards. A slice of chocolate cake for dessert was dry and stuck to the serving plate. Service was sparkling, but we had to ask for serving utensils for the shared salad. In short, go to The Bancroft or Capital Grille instead.

    Good restaurant for parties of 3 or more. If looking for a quieter/romantic restaurant this is not it. It's a small dining room w a dozen or so tables of 4 & only 2 small tables for 2 thrown in corners on top of other tables. We were at one such table & it was barely big enough for all our dishes. Food is excellent quality & was ready in a timely fashion. Service was also excellent. Next time we will try the high top seating in the bar room although those booths were rather large for just 2 people. 🤷‍♀️
