A steakhouse: city vibe, local heart. Our menu is hand selected to feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Our head chef and owner Jason Carron has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron is opening his first steakhouse this spring, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.

Please note our dress code: No gym wear, hooded sweatshirts, shorts, or ball caps are to be worn. All men are strongly encouraged to have a collar. No tank tops. Jackets are not required.

    It was our first experience at Post 1917. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted us to bring a drink menu while we waited on our table. They returned and took our drink order and reserved a spot at the beautiful bar for us. The staff returned and walked us to the bar. We sat and enjoyed our drinks. Then we were escorted to our table. Our server was there within 30 seconds with a smile. We ordered drinks and our food. The food was perfectly prepared and was delicious. We now have our new favorite spot for dinner or just drinks! Thank you Post 1917!

    The food was expertly prepared and the presentation was pleasing to the eye. The goat cheese & pear salad was extraordinary along with a perfectly cooked Porterhouse. Would like to see sauces included with steak entrees especially at this price point. As a customer I did not get additional value in the up charge for the flight of sauces. Wishing for bread to be add to the offerings at some point soon. It would be a great way to get every last drop of dressing and sauce off the plate.

    Excellent! There’s nothing else to say. From the service to the food this was a 10 out of 10! Chef Jason and his staff prepared a delicious dinner for us while Lewis took great care of us all night! Highly recommend this restaurant.

    I struggled whether to write this review or not. My husband, my parents and I had a reservation last night at 4:45pm. It was our first time there and we were very excited to try this restaurant. By 6:15pm the owners wife came over and told us we needed to leave as another party was waiting for our table. We still had dessert and wine on the table. Meanwhile there were other parties that were sitting prior to us that were still there. We had anticipated enjoying our meal for no more than 2 hrs which is standard in the restaurant industry. To be asked to leave after paying $700 (dinner and tip) was extremely unprofessional. I understand that you are a small restaurant and turning tables makes money. But for our first experience there it left a sour taste in our mouths. The food and waiter experience was top notch but asking us to leave is not the way you keep customers. Try to find a balance or you’re going to be known as the restaurant that wants you in and out. At your prices you can’t afford to lose customers.

    We had a booth in the bar area, a choice of lunch and dinner menus, and an attentive waiter. Sunday afternoon was a good choice! Food was excellent as were the cocktails, would definitely recommend.

    If you want a great dinner out, then this is the place to go! Exceptional food, service and cocktails. We will be back ( again)

    Food and service were outstanding as always. Only negative was waiting a half hour after our reservation time to be seated.

    One of the best restaurants on the North Shore. Filet and lobster tail special was a 10 with a uniquely seasoned butter for the lobster. Filet cooked perfectly medium rare as asked. Lobster tacos exceptional, perfect size, consistency and flavor. Tuna tar tar was high grade sushi as was the tuna entree. Lamb lollipops exceptional with a unique crushed cashew coating. Ribeye also exceptional. Wedge salad delicious. My cider donut old fashion was absolutely perfectly mixed. Love the semicircle hightop booths surrounding the bar. Service great. Only complaint was the authoritarian warning upon entry that we only had the table for 1.5 hours. Given the prices , I find any restriction of that kind ridiculous . We stayed for just over two hours with no complaints however, probably because our bill for 4 was $500.00, 3 apps, 3 salads, 4 entrees, 3 cocktails, 3 sodas which was worth the price given the exceptional quality and flavor of everything. Will definitely go back.
