First time visiting this restaurant, but we definitely will be back. The host was extremely gracious and welcoming. The menu is very comprehensive but our waiter skillfully guided us through it. We had the beet salad as a starter. It was huge (enough for four) and very enjoyable. For mains we had the veal schnitzel (simple but excellently executed) and the Tarragon soup. The soup was divine! Perfectly balanced with layers of flavor. We finished with the crepes which also were very good. Their wine list was also comprehensive. We wanted to try one of the Hungarian wines and the waiter was kind enough to do a quick taste test. We each found a wine we loved and which perfectly complemented the meal.

Food is excellent as well as plentiful. Service is unrushed but extremely good. Staff very engaging and friendly. My only quibble: Wine corkage is too high for a neighborhood restaurant. I would rather pay more for my food and not be peanalized because I prefer my own wine.

Regarding the corkage fee, we completely understand your concern, and we’d like to explain the reasoning behind it. As a small, independent restaurant, our wine program plays a significant role in sustaining our operations and enhancing the dining experience we aim to provide. When guests bring their own wine, we encourage this option through the corkage fee, which helps to balance the revenue loss that occurs when our curated wine list is not utilized. That said, we truly value your feedback and will continue striving to strike the right balance for all our patrons

Dinner was delightful. The beet salad was amazing ( and I usually don’t like beets). The mushroom paprikas was so delicious and rich. The pasta was homemade and cooked to perfection (Al dente of course) Highly recommend everything on the menu.
