    I recommended this place as I’d have a lovely time in May before Jason Byrne in Vicar st. There were 4 of us dining. The service wasn’t great. Initially it was but it declined as the meal progressed. Noise level incredibly high and hard to enjoy a meal. Food was ok. I ordered meatball spaghetti for main course and it was very disappointing. Food wasn’t hot and when I asked for extra sauce on my very dry dish I know the waitress was not happy . Two of my companions shared a starter portion of meatballs and there was double the sauce. The cheesy garlic bread was anemic but we were hungry and ate it. We ordered a calypso called coffee and an Irish coffee and the waiter arrived with what he announced as a Bailey’s coffee and insisted the other was a tia Maria calypso coffee. My other companion noted her clay pal coffee was an Irish coffee after tasting but decided not to return it as she does not like to make a fuss. I had to ask for my Irish coffee which I must note was delicious. My other companion ordered ice cream and it never arrived. A very disappointing meal and we won’t be recommending to anyone again

    First time at proof, reasonable price for exceptional food. Portion sizes for pizza and sides are great, would have loved a bigger lasagna!! Will definitely be back

    Really disappointing experience. I’ve been to proof multiple times and have had every Christmas party/ work event in proof. When we sat down we were told they weren’t serving lunch or pre theatre menu even though this is displayed online. I ended up leaving and going elsewhere after travelling in. Really disappointing 👎🏼

    Everything was superb and great value! The salads, pasta and pizza were exceptional Staff were so so lovely, will definitely be back! A perfect pre show dinner :))

    We ordered 2 cocktails and we probably would have had 2 more if the first one weren’t disappointing. Overall good value for money for lunch. Food good

    Wide ranging menu with plenty of choice. The food was delicious and would have no hesitation in going again or recommending to others. A gem of a restaurant !

    Excellent experience great welcome on arrival, fantastic menu (food & drink). Took recommendations from server and wasn't disappointed 😋. Will definitely return and recommend.

    A beautifully decorated restaurant. The wait Staff were very nice and friendly. However, the service was lacking. We asked for water for the table 3 times before it arrived. Part of our order never arrives and we had to ask for it again reminding the waiter already. We ordered 2 glasses of wine which did not arrive at the end of our meal so we cancelled them and just got the bill.
