   I selected GPub because it was highly rated for folks with Gluten Allergies. We arrived to sit in a booth and it was extremely noisy (the customers, not the music). We struggled to hear each other throughout the dinner. I told them on the reservation, again to the host when we checked in, and two times to our waitress that it was one of my friend's birthdays. There was no acknowledgement, not even a candle or a "happy birthday, sir" to him. That part was a big let down. The poutine was mediocre (dry pork, chewy cheese, and it arrived tepid in temp). The fish fry, salmon bowl (Thai something I think), burger, and fries were outstanding. The drinks were nice. Cheesecake was delicious. Service was just meh...they forgot drinks we asked for, kept asking us how they were doing instead of getting us what we asked for, and again didn't even acknowledge the birthday. I think if I wanted good food, wasn't worried about speed, and didn't care to talk to my friends, it's a good place. It's surrounded by arcade and table games too which I guess is part of the vibe. Bravo to the cooks for mostly good food. Boo to the servers for bad service and lack of sound absorbing anything to make the noise bearable. I doubt I'll go again, definitely not if I want to talk with someone and not yell, be fast, or ever have a celebration for someone special.

   I cannot say enough good things about this place! *and I’m a restaurant manager so you know it’s good. We came from out of town and I left a note on our reservation that we wanted to watch the caps game. We walked in and told the host we would head to the bar. Before we even got to the bar, the manager (gentleman with glasses) approached us and let us know that he saw our note and he would have the game on for us. Already impeccable service. The bartenders were great and food was awesome. We had the steak nachos. Around 9pm a dj set up at the end of the bar right next to us, the same manager came over and offered for us to move wherever we wanted to finish the game with less noise. He constantly checked in on us and was engaged the whole time. At one point we asked where the bathroom was and the other manager a women, overheard. She waited until I headed that way and led me to the bathroom. We were truly treated like vips. The whole place was clean and had such a fun vibe. 10/10 recommend.

   We arrived on time. Our table was not ready and the hostess was very apologetic. Honestly, this was not a big deal at all. We ordered drinks at the bar while we waited and within 10 mins our table was ready. Great! Waitress made sure we had fresh drinks, apps, and took our order. Owner came by and had a nice conversation with us. Food came out hot and was delicious. I will say it was quite busy but we were enamored with the level of service and even commented to each other that this is the kind of customer service missing today. We finished our meal and the owner even came by and cleared our table! Again, very impressed. THIS IS WHERE IT GOES DOWN HILL. No one came back to our table for over an hour. No bill, no “would you like more drinks”, no “interested in desert”, nothing. We were talking so I didn’t realize it for a bit. But at some point around 30 mins I realized it and tried flagging someone down. 20 mins more and still no one and nothing. Again, very busy, but still, this was getting ridiculous. After another 15 mins I even went to the hostess and said that not a single person has come by since our dinner was cleared for over an hour. She said she thought we already paid and left, apologized, and said she would deal with it right away. I went to my table expecting our waitress to finally come by. ANOTHER 15 minutes, still no one!!! Now I am just standing and waving my credit card at any member that was in the vicinity. Hostess is at the bar and sees me and finally came over and took my card saying I didn’t know where you went. CRAZY!! I know it was super busy. I’ll give it another chance but I have to be honest, that was one of the weirdest experiences at a restaurant. It was like we were invisible. Completely ruined our earlier impression. I’ll try it again hoping for a better experience knowing that one experience does not mean that’s always the experience. They have a good reputation so I am hoping it was a one time thing.

   Great post game meal! We had two apps (potato skins and spinach dip). Then we had two salads and two burgers. All tasted great!

   We were greeted nicely at the door and given a good table location. Our server, and her team members were polite and responsive, and the General Manager came by more than once to see how we were doing. The foot was great! We would come back again!

   We always enjoy going here, and are warmly welcomed by the long time manager. Our wait staff was a lovely young woman we have had before. Food is always tasty. Prices may be a little high, but may be comparable to many other.similar spots these days. Long wait for appetizer this time, but free app coupon made up for it.

    Had a great meal pre ppac show. Our group switched it up and headed to gpub for dinner. The service was outstanding, attentive and pleasant servers. Manager was present and visible ensuring customers were taken care of. The food was delicious and prices reasonable. Also loved the laid back atmosphere. One of the dishes was a bit over done for one of our party, they took care of it and second dish out was perfect . We will be revisiting next show. Plenty of Parking available, easy walk to ppac.
