Ramen-san is a bold and energetic neighborhood joint that slings hot noodles, ice-cold beer and rare expressions of Japanese whisky all to the tune of the best ’90s hip-hop in town. It respects the traditions but keep things uniquely untraditional in its yuzu sake bombs, crispy dumplings, spicy kimchi fried ramen and more. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and late-night dining.

Good lunch for 2: express lunch and tonkatsu ramen. OK service. Good value with help of Lettuce Entertain You credits.

Our server Daniel was great, food was excellent, and they had our reservation ready to go when we arrived. My son celebrated his birthday there and we had an amazing overall experience.

My husband ordered the TanTan-San, and I ordered the Chicken Shio with fewer noodles and more broth. Both dishes were amazing. The TanTan-San broth has more of a miso broth, and the Chicken Shio is a regular clear broth. Price was reasonable with water; total bill was $47.01 with tip. We will definitely be coming back!

The food and drinks were fantastic. Our server was great. Everything came out in a timely manner and was nice and hot and delicious will be coming back for sure.

Ramen soup was not hot which was disappointing. Seems like it sat there for a whole before being served.

Ramen-San Deluxe offers a lively and bustling dining experience. The pho bun is absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The kimchi ramen is good, with a nice kick of spice, but the maki rolls fall flat, coming across as bland and lacking the freshness or creativity you’d expect. Service is attentive and friendly, but due to the restaurant’s high volume of patrons, orders can take longer to arrive. If you’re patient, it’s worth a visit for some standout dishes like the pho bun and kimchi ramen. A great spot for ramen enthusiasts, but maybe skip the maki rolls.
