Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. Repeal is a tribute to the Repeal of Prohibition – a place to see, be seen and celebrate the rich tradition of the building in which it resides.

Now serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

                                        We consider Repeal not just fine dining but Premium dining yet at 6 pm on a Friday night they were out of the wine we ordered and their coffee maker was broken. Not at all what we expected.

                                        The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect. Our server Justin was top notch. The entire waitstaff was some of the best there is. I will definitely recommend eating here to family and friends and I WILL be back! Thank you guys so much for the wonderful experience!

                                        Michael’s energy and knowledge are A+++.We were just 2 couples in our group of 4 in the later evening on a Wednesday night. The service was fantastic. The cadence to the meal had just the right rhythm. The meal was fabulous. THANK YOU

                                        Our second visit to Repeal, but first time in the dining room. Our server, Andre, was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining the menu offerings to us. The house bread was amazing as always. The buccatini was even better the second time around. Ordered it as a side to our Filet’s. Everything was excellent and we will return!

                                        We were there for an hour, lovely waitstaff but obviously understaffed lunch hour. Will not be going back.

                                        The staff when out of their way to honon a couple of requests. The food was exceptional, tastey, warm and timely. Service was also over the top. Highly recomend. The Repeal is busy and I highly recomend reservations.

                                        Made reservations a month ahead of time asked for a nice view as we were celebrating a birthday our table sat right in front of the kitchen exit which we kept having to hear people say corner, corner coming in and out. Almost positive that wasn't the best view. Our food came out wrong twice as my fiance wanted his steak well done . They took back to grill and still couldn't get it right. Steak also was very bland as well as steak fries. Our mixed drink taste exactly like beer and we both had beer. Out waitress disappeared for like 30 minutes so we had to get a manager just to help us out with the food. For this to be an upscale restaurant they have a lot of catching up to do. We should of just went to Jeff Ruby's which was our 1st choice. Disappointed definitely and do not recommend and we won't be going back. Luckily the gift that we're given at dinner made up for the horrible experience we had to celebrate a birthday.
