                                                  This restaurant has a vintage-like, elegant decor; there is a super cool bar to the left of the entrance and a sit down dining area on the right. We all loved the ambiance! The halibut, bolognese, and pappardelle w mushroom and sausage were the entrees ordered at our table. All were delicious!! The wait staff were very polite, but super busy, so service was slow. For example, we waited a long time to get drink refills and also parmesan cheese for our pasta dishes. However, we will definitely go back bc we loved the food and ambiance!

                                                  Had a fabulous experience! I don’t live in SF anymore so a challenge to find a perfect birthday party venue. Ristobar was perfect. We had a big round table in a semi-private area. Cozy and warm vibe. We could all converse the whole time. They whipped up a gorgeous charcuterie board and other appetizers were delicious. Matteo and team provided amazing service!! We all enjoyed the wine and our meals. Bravo!!

                                                  This place never disappoints. I would eat there every day if I had an expandable stomach. Please bring back the semifreddo dessert in the spring. The truffle risotto exceeded my expectations. Five stars for the restaurant and staff.

                                                  Came here for our anniversary dinner (which we noted on the reservation) and our anniversary also happens to be Christmas Eve. Neither of us had been to Ristobar despite having lived in the area a while, but were excited to try. We ended up stuck in a dark corner table in the side room with two large, loud family parties. We ended up waiting for 40 minutes with no water and without a server stopping by. After we were finally able to order our food and we were moved to a much better table, things were looking up — until we were told 20 mins after placing our order that they ran out of our meal. We PAID for our drinks and left. Totally understand that Christmas Eve is a busy night and the team were likely short staffed, but a really disappointing experience nonetheless on the occasion.
