Located in an historic miner's cabin on Pearl Street, River and Woods serves Colorado Comfort Cuisine. The culinary team prepares whimsical interpretations of traditional comfort food and a carefully curated boutique bar program rounds out the River and Woods experience.     It is always freezing in this restaurant in the winter. Food was good. Had one small issue that was quickly taken care of. Staff was helpful and friendly.

    Loves our first visit to River and Woods! Darby was our server and she was just lovely. Food was delicious- we highly recommend the tabletop s’mores!

    Wonderful brunch at River and Woods. Hard to find a breakfast place with French press coffee but R&W has it and it’s incredible! We celebrated my wife’s birthday today over brunch and every aspect was delightful. Small quaint place but quiet enough to have great conversation over delicious food. We’ll be back again and again!

    We had dinner there on Valentine’s Day. The service was excellent. The food was delicious! We will always have a great memory of that night.

    This was our first visit to this quaint restaurant. It was a Valentines prize fix menu. The food was outstanding and unique. Service was attentive and professional. Can’t wait to try again with their usual menu!

    This was our second time dining here and you can tell that the people here care about giving a good service and creating a positive experience. We really enjoyed the experience and the food tasted good. That being said, in my opinion the food (while being excellent quality and very delicious) feels a bit overpriced and not the best value. The portions are really small, and especially when paying $300 for an “American comfort food” meal for two you expect to leave the restaurant feeling satiated.

    We ate there on a cold evening. We were seated at a table near an outside wall. It was SO COLD sitting at our table! There was a whoosh of cold air coming out down low. We asked to be reseated one table over, further away from the outside wall. That helped a tiny bit. They need to caulk the crack where the cold air was whooshing in, and/or provide blankets for people seated in the cold area and/or put a space heater in to warm up that space (just 3 small tables). We would have stayed longer and enjoyed our meal more if it hadn't been so amazingly cold. From the knees down, I was freezing. Cold cold feet. (People will stay longer and eat and drink more if it is warmer!). Food was great. (Would have been nice to have been offered a warm towel to wash up after eating the duck wings...) Service was great.

    The trout looked beautiful but had a strange dirty pond taste. Never encountered this with a fish before. Paid and left it uneaten.

    Very nice waitstaff. Good food. It was a bit cold in the space because of the bitter temps outside. Needed more heaters in the room. All in all lovely restaurant!

    It was our first time visiting. The ambience was not what we expected but pleasantly so. We loved the homey atmosphere and the food was great!
