Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen is thrilled for its first expansion since 2012, opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne with more than 30 years of culinary tradition and craftsmanship under its belt. We had a great meal at Roosters Ballantyne. Nicole was our server and she was very professional and friendly. She was especially accommodating to my elderly mother. We loved all the food - I haven’t seen my mother eat that enthusiastically in a long time! I like the vibe, although the high ceilings do make for very lively acoustics so if you’re sensitive to noise this may not be your spot. But get take out then because you dont want to miss the food!

I went for Brunch but the brunch menu was very limited and the food didn’t live up to me expectations. Great service and atmosphere though, maybe the dinner menu is better.

We have dined at this restaurant numerous times in the past few months. This was our first bad experience and it was because we had a bad, inattentive waiter. He barely spoke, didn’t bring the bread they always serve, didn’t refill our water and drinks, and we had to flag him down to get anything we needed. The service, and food, on all of our previous visits were great. The food was great this time as well. We’ll continue to eat here, but this was not a good experience!

The reason for our low star on ambiance was our table. I wouldn't recommend table 71. It's directly in front of the side doors. It got cold because people were exiting from these doors, and we also felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the restaurant. Although I could gaze around the separated area that our table was in, my husband's lackluster view was of the exit doors. Other than that, the food was very good. I had the salmon and my husband had the 1/2 chicken and the Au Gratin potatoes. We both had a local mixed green salad. We appreciated the complimentary bread and olive oil as not that many restaurants seem to do just a simple bread service like this. Our server, Anthony, was attentive and friendly.

Food was excellent. The server/wait staff was terrible. The woman that took our order was not pleasant borderline rude. When our food came, it was basically thrown at us. We will give it one more chance because the food was very good. And pray the wait staff improves

Had a great visit to Rooster's Ballantyne. We were glad to try this out as we really like the South Park location. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is very nice, but comfortable. The food was excellent. We went in on their brunch menu and it was very thorough with lots of options. The serving sizes were very generous. The parking at the Ballantyne Bowl can be a bit tricky, but was not too bad. We are excited to have Roosters close by and will plan to be back frequently.
