   Lovely traditional pub in centre of york. We had a delicious Sunday roast with all the trimmings only negative i can think of is despite there being a good selection of vegetables the portion could of been bigger. The staff were very friendly & attentive throughout Really enjoyed our visit here good value for money, would definitely reccomend.

   Lovely pub, helpful and friendly staff. Typical pub grub food, which was very tasty. I had the Cheese and Bacon burger which was delicious.

   Very pleasant meal. Music a bit loud for us but would suit others. Staff helpful and pleasant. Good size portions.

   I had opted for the beef roast my food was cold and the beef needed a hacksaw to cut through it. I had a side order of pigs in blankets that looked like they had been cooked in the deep fat fryer! The roast spuds was from the freezer , my husband had fish and chips and he said they was really nice , so disappointed

   Fantastic service, lovely staff and a quiet, cosy atmosphere. Very reasonably priced, fantastic to visit and well worth the money.
