Recommend staff not smoking next to open windows where customers are eating. When seating customers it would be good to tell them there was a limited menu rather than waiting for them to order to be told you can only have a couple of things.

Toilets and corridors never seen a duster let alone a hoover. Food very average and chairs not comfy.

Was not as described in the advertisement the place was dirty even for an old building,W C was not clean and dress code was smart casual a joke when staff wore clothes that looked dirty. With regards to food excepted better we only had a main has we were not offered desserts would not recommend!!!!!!

We had such a fantastic experience today. We were in the little snug as we were a party of 7. The service was fantastic and the staff super friendly ☺️ We would definitely book here again

Found & booked this little place last minute whilst visiting York. Absolute gem, the lads behind the bar were so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble and the food is fantastic. Got to say the Steak & Ale pie is one of the best I’ve ever had!

Lovely food, good menu and drinks choice. Fantastic service, cannot fault anything apart from the next table very loudly swearing constantly which isn't ideal with children about.

The crispy calamari starter was excellent, but so large a portion that I was unable to eat the main course.
