Ruex Cafe and Bar is an all-day dining destination welcoming guests from morning through to late night and offers a unique and refined blend of a café and restaurant. Start the day with our fiery Pork Belly Eggs Benedict or Halloumi Avocado Toast, an elevated rendition of the classic avocado toast. Great food and coffee. We made a reservation and we were seated quickly. Had to wait a long time for the server to come to our take. Once the server finally came by everything was perfect. The food came in very quickly as well our drinks.

Came to our favourite brunch spot and they did not disappoint! We ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich and brekkie burger, both were delicious. We finished off with the mango hot cakes which were an absolute treat! Perfect Sunday brunch! Staff were attentive and friendly as per usual.

Food was great. Appreciate gluten free items but they need to be a little better at looking after coeliac customers. Service was a little nonexistent after the initial order.

The brunch sampler was amazing……every bite was delicious. The flavours of every bite was soooo good. Service to match the food quality too. Well worth it!

Had the $85 Valentine’s dinner with my wife. 5-course meal which had some really well-planned dishes. The sablefish was delish, the gnocchi & the chicken tikka was also great.

There was a fixed 5 course menu on Valentines Day for $85. A little pricey but it’s Valentines Day so I understood. I took my wife and daughter. Service was great. However, I missed the fine print and we were each charged an additional $15 for picking the steak option for our fifth course. So now it’s $100 each plus a bottom of wine, tip and taxes the bill came to almost $500!

Are those the server was trying very hard to improve service the food quality was just not to my expectations. Food quality is not well polished the chicken Wellington is very filling and greasy. Huge portion though. Very disappointing with the dessert as it’s supposed to be some kind of tiramisu crêpe but turned out to be a gigantic pancake with some tiramisu filling in the middle and a big blob of fresh cream on the top it’s kind of like Dennys food or cafeteria food. Will not recommend
