Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

    I was visiting from Boston, but it was my second time at Rumi's. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered a few appetizers, lamb rack to share, plus an additional type of rice (Baghali) and spicy chutney. Our meal was so good, no one spoke a word during the first 5 minutes. 😂 The two types of rice are very flavorful and aromatic, the lamb was tender and juicy. The spicy chutney elevated the experience. The service was wonderful too. Zachariah was great! I am definitely coming back the next time I am in town.

    Everything was perfect. The complimentary appetizer. The homemade doogh. Quick service, the attractive male and female staff. The speed of food delivery and hot and spicy was just the way I was hoping. The only minor complaint was that the main course was served right after the salad was delivered, not allowing enough time to start the salad, much less finish it, before the main course. This is always a problem in a busy restaurant.

    Delicious food and romantic atmosphere. There were so many thoughtful details like splitting bigger dishes for our individual tasting. Great explanations of Persian flavors. Had an amazing dinner here.
