This is like 2 restaurants in one. Downstairs seems like a quiet dining room, upstairs is a large boisterous bar and surrounded by high-top tables. We sat upstairs. The food was excellent, and we received the perfect amount of attention from our enthusiastic waiter. The bar could use more help, as we waited a very long time for our second round of drinks. The ‘birria’ tacos are out of this world delicious if you like short ribs.

Salena’s is ALWAYS delicious! The waitstaff, Hostesses & Manager take great care of you every time. The drinks are beautiful & the food yummy!!!

An amazing brunch experience! Live music, creative latin brunch dishes and the drinks were delicious. The hospitality was incredible and the vibe was immaculate. Salena is our new go to brunch spot!

We will definitely be back and are looking forward to sitting outside when it’s warmer. Other than the Salena burger, which was excellent, we rated the food as better than good but not quite very good. However, we’re from California, which has amazing Mexican food. Yes, the menu is Latin American but the food is similar. My good rating is based on the food being a little bland. Again, the Salena burger was amazing but it’s not really Latin inspired. The guacamole and chips appetizer is big enough for 3-4 people and is a great price at $14. It would have reached great level with more cilantro, salt, and onions. I’ll try the Salena version next time which has pepitas & sunflower seeds. The carnitas tacos had plenty of meat and the pickled onions were perfect—not too tart. Again, the meat would’ve hit great with a bump in spices for more flavor.

Drinks were terrible. Was told by a manager they would make new ones and the bad one would be removed from the bill. Neither happened. Servers did not clear tables between meals. Vibe was good and decor nice. Food was ok.

First time diners and the food and drinks were excellent. They had a New Years menu that was a little more upscale than the everyday menu, which I think could’ve used a few more creative main dishes. But what we ordered was great!
