The food was delicious as I came for brunch and got the huevos rancheros. It was tasty but was missing some sauce to top it off for my liking, so I asked for aioli. For my drink I got a pineapple mimosa and it was good besides the actual pineapple that was garnished. The overall experience was great and it wasn’t too loud as I can hear our conversations and the service was great as well.

Some elements were quite nice. The seafood plate and the cheese board as appetizers were resonable and tasty. The entrees were ok, but nothing to rush back for. That said, most of what I saw going to other tables were sandwiches, pizzas, and salads which might be better choices The drinks were well liked. One of my party had a flight of cocktails, while others had house cocktails. It is on the loud side, but there was mostly groups of people meeting up. Bill was on the high side, but not out of line for what was ordered

Our server never came over to check on us after we got food, or to see if we wanted another drink! It was my mother’s birthday and she never asked about a dessert menu just gave us our check! I would come back to this really cool restaurant again but I’d make sure not to get her again!

Food is good, but overpriced. I also was questioned for my ID relentlessly since it was out of state, so much so that they asked me for a 2nd form of ID. Ive never seen this happen ever and was just shocked at how ridiculous they were being about it. The manager of the restaurant (some bald guy) was extremely unpleasant about the situation and made me look crazy for wondering why my out of state ID was such a big deal. Regardless, there isn’t anything here you can’t easily make at home or find elsewhere. Avoid.

We also understand that our policy of requesting a second ID for out-of-state licenses can be frustrating. However, given the strict Massachusetts and Somerville liquor laws, it is a necessary measure. The ABCC frequently monitors restaurants that attract younger guests, looking for any lapses in enforcement. Losing our liquor license is a serious concern, which is why we maintain a strict policy. Our intention is never to inconvenience our guests but to ensure compliance while providing a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. We take great care to ensure our pricing reflects the quality of our fresh ingredients, locally sourced seafood, and the effort we put into superior preparation. Prices do fluctuate with the market, and unfortunately, current costs are higher than we’d like. Our menu pricing reflects these fluctuations, but we remain hopeful that as the economic outlook improves, costs for items like fresh seafood will decrease—allowing us to pass those savings on to our guests. We had an early Valentines dinner at S+S before show, and it was a disappointment. Despite having 20+ staff on the floor and the restaurant being only about 40% full, we had to ask twice just to get a server. but the service remained terrible– empty drinks sat untouched and dishes piled up. The food was mediocre at best. Absolutely not worth it.

Myself and my 2 friends met for Lunch. They each had steak tips, asparagus and new potatoes. I had a beet salad with goat cheese, fennel, candied walnuts and added Shrimp.(3). The quantities are large so we all had take home leftovers. The flavors were good. Our server was very attentive and organized. We will certainly come back again.
