CIAO !! Fabrizio and Francesca here! We are husband and wife who arrived here in NEWY almost 6 years ago from Rome and we are excited to bring you a taste of Italy and share our typical culinary traditions with Newcastle.

SAPORI means “flavours” in English and perfectly represents what we want to bring to Newcastle - authentic and traditional Italian flavours from our homeland in Italy.

As Italians, quality food is in our blood. SAPORI AT TAILORS offers traditional Roman Pizza, homemade Pasta, Desserts, and Gelato. We prepare every dish daily from scratch, using traditional recipes and adding a bit of love into everything we do. We’ve hand-picked the best ingredients from local, authentic producers and imported goods from Italy so we can guarantee high-quality food to give you a real Italian experience here in Newcastle.

On our Menu, you can find Pizzas divided into Le Rosse pizzas and Le Bianche , as well as starter plates, pasta and of course, Italian desserts

There were 6 of us dining at a table outside. Everyone of us enjoyed our meal very much. The six of us all said we will definitely be returning. We could not fault the service and the food. I would definitely recommend Sapori to my friends and family.

Thanks for accommodating our booking of 10 people on Saturday evening. Staff were friendly nd the food was delightful. We did book for 6PM however a few of our party got held up and didn't arrive until after 6:30pm, so things were a bit rushed toward the end as another group was coming in after us. Drink service was a little slow but they did seem quite busy with diners and take away orders. I will be back to try some more of the menu :)

This little restaurant is a gem and a great find. It made me feel like I was back in Italy just for a little while . The staff are really lovely. We only had our table for 1.5 hours but I would have loved to stay all night. Food is genuine Italian and excellent.

Excellent little Italian. The arancini is one of the best we've had and the Roman style(Thin) pizza was outstanding. All washed down with a lovely Italian Chianti.

The chairs have been changed to proper seats with back support making the experience much more comfortable and as usual the food and service is the best in Newcastle 👌 I couldn’t recommend Sapori at Tailors enough!!!! It’s a must try.

My favourite restaurant in Newy. I'm torn between keeping it a secret for my own benefit, versus singing its praises to everyone! Don't go there ever! (but do)

The most authentic and beautiful Italian in Newcastle. Our favourites - the traditional Roman pizza (appettitosa, rocco and capriccosa) and the amazing drinks list (queue the basil margarita and traditional italian beer/wine options). Make sure you leave room for a cannolo to finish or one of Francescas homemade cakes paired with a nip of Grappa/limoncello. You wont go wrong with whatever you order. Since our first visit we could just tell the heart and soul Francesca, Fabrizio and their staff pour into this beautiful establishment - Sapori is a true Newcastle icon.
