We strongly encourage you to make your Open Table reservations and we are happy to be able to take care of all of our valuable guests, again. We are Alberta's largest and most beautiful steak house. The Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse stretches over 20,000 square feet with a seating capacity of over 700 dining room, lounge, banquet room, and patio combined.
This location has built its reputation on the Sawmill formula. Serving over half a dozen different cuts and sizes of Alberta beef one cannot go wrong ordering any one style. The Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse has become known for many unique qualities and is open daily at 1130am except Sundays when we open at 3pm.

Great place normally, but not so much on valentines day. Understaffed, extremely slow service. One of us had a dairy allergy and could hardly eat anything off a normally navigatable menu. Caviet it was valentines but it should have been better staffed especially knowing how many bookings they had. This review is not to degrade an establishment, just to bring awareness to anyone who has an allergy that may affect their ability to eat every they had. They couldn't even steam a few basic vegetables on the side with nondairy after paying for a whole meal experience. Instead they served dairy infused food on the same plate as the person who was allergic even after numerous times stating and being nice. Nothing was done, no new food plate was brought out, and my fiance was forced to either go hungry or risk cutting around her food in hopes she didn't have anything she chose contaminated from being touched by dairy products. There was no compensation, Or anything. They used a napkin to remove the allergy containing food off the plate and left the last piece contaminated to eat. took an hour to get food out to us from our initial booking time. I will never come back here on valentines day. As for a regular establishment it is a great place, the wine was good. My meal when it came out was good, I could eat it as I have no allergies. It tasted good, it could have been a lovely night if it wasn't so chaotic. Our server was very nice, but the staff was easily under a lot of pressure from the night. More than it should have been. Either more staff should have been present or less bookings at a time to keep things from being a bad experience not just for us but others we noticed. I could tell some were having a great experience and others not so much. This is not to degrade this establishment, normally it would have a very high opinion. Just this one valentines experience was not put together as well as it should have.

We chose Sawmill to celebrate Valentines but I wouldn’t ever choose it again. Took us 15 minutes just to get parked, because it was so busy. Then we were shown to one table and seated before another waitress then asked us to move to a different table. Extremely poor start. Because it was Valentines, the restaurant offered a restricted / set menu - which looked fine, but in reality the food was just very bland and generic, which, when combined with the noisy ambience, just made the evening difficult to enjoy. Would we go back in the future? - maybe, just because I’m sure this wasn’t a fair reflection of what it’s usually like. That said, I would certainly warn anyone off ever going here in Valentines. It’s guaranteed to underwhelm.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times with no issues. This dinner was beyond the worst ever I have had our table booked was @ 6:30 pm On Valentines day First off, you only have a set dinner 3 course dinner which I was not aware of when I made the reservation as I put regular menu not 3 course dinner option. My husband didn't like anything that was on the set menu aside from entree. Secondly the waitress did not put in our orders properly.We had ordered our daughters meal right away before ordering anything and when placing our orders she asked us what our her order was . His Steak was not cooked properly he ate three fries off his plate as it was suppose to be medium well not medium rare. His whole plate was taken away for refire of his plate. Also, my food was cold and although i ordered my steak medium but it was more medium rare. We also asked about my add on , waitress never said if she put it in or not. Additionally his re fired steak came, NO FRIES TAHT WERE ON THE FIRST PLATE. STILL NO ADD ON OF MY SHRIMP OSCAR. THIS WAS 45 MINS AFTER PLACING ORDER . HOW DOES A REFIRED STEAK COME BEFORE A ORDER OF ADD ON. AT THIS POINT. AT THIS POINT WE SPOKE TO THE MANAGER , OH I DONT KNOW WHY IT DIDN'T COME YET IT ONLY TAKES TWO MINS. HE WASN'T HUNGRY ANYMORE DUE TO THE STRESS OF WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A ENJOYABLE MEAL.AS A MANAGER YOU SHOULD BE MORE EMPATHIC TO THE SITUATION. OUR CHILD WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT ENJOYED HER MEAL.

The food was delicious. It's shame that our waitress was on her second day. A bit frazzled on the operations. She was trying but extremely unorganized and not sure of things. I hope management provides more training for her.

Our table was next to a freezing cold window so you had to eat fast before your food got cold. It was in the corner and constantly forgotten about. We had to ask for the wine glasses to be taken away as we were not drinking. We have gone there multiple times now for valentines day and typically we are in and out in less the 2 hours it was at the hour and a half mark that we were FINALLY getting our main meal. We left after 3 hours and the longer everything took the more annoyed we got. For the amount you pay for a meal there on valentines day the service should be amazing.. I hate to say it but the service wasn't even subpar it was absolutely atrocious.

It wasn’t fabulous service was above good! Food was ok! Would i recommend hmm maybe! This is our second trip this year ! The first experience was terrible ! The service less than average ! Ordered coffee it was cold the chicken dinner was aweful ! Girl handing out party favors gave to everyone but me not sure what her issue was she seemed snobby ! This time around the service was above average ! Food was ok ! The seating was to close to the other tables ! Had to sit at the end ! Would I recommend to go definitely not on the top Of my list !
