The SCHOFIELD'S BAR story
With over 25 years of experience collectively, bartender brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield always had a vision to return to their home city of Manchester to open their eponymous venue;
SCHOFIELD’S BAR.

SCHOFIELD’S BAR graces the corner of Sunlight House, one of the most iconic buildings in the north of England.

The art deco masterpiece of architect Joseph Sunlight was the tallest building in Manchester upon completion during the 1930s, a decade of great importance for cocktail culture. An era of grand and luxurious bars, known for their hospitality and classic cocktails.

Please note that we are only able to accept a handful of reservations each day as we are a walk-in led venue so please do not be put off visiting us if you are unable to reserve. All reservations are only guaranteed 2 hours at the table.

Excellent cocktails and service, faultless. I personally found the music a bit too loud for a cocktail bar, I prefer a more laid back vibe for ease of conversation. But an outstanding cocktail bar, I will visit again!

I’ve been here before and loved it on those previous occasions, however, I found the waiters this evening stepping over the line from attentive to incredibly obtrusive, with us being asked multiple times “what brings you here tonight?”, “where you going after?” “Is it a special occasion?”, often disrupting conversations I was having with my friend. Sometimes just taking orders and serving drinks with a smile on your face is more pleasant to a customer than interrogation

Probably the best bar in Manchester, great ambiance and the best cocktails! Tom does a great Bloody Mary !

I love this place. It’s so relaxing. Table service, friendly, helpful and efficient service from having the door open, taken to our table. Help with drinks, whether on the menu or not. Not rushed, constant water too ups. We sat for a while between drinks but weren’t rushed. My favourite place for a drink with friends or partner. Well done to the whole team 🔥

Been wanting to check this bar out for some time and one night in Macnhester I got the chance. It was just as good as I hoped. It has a lovely vibe, stunning drinks and service.
