Senia's founding Chef/Owner, Anthony Rush, has decades of culinary experience at the two and three Michelin-star level. Chef Rush applies his abundant and extraordinary talents to two different menus. Our à la carte menu highlights refined casual dishes, making Senia a great neighborhood restaurant. Our tasting menu, offered on Friday and Saturday nights at our Chefs’ Counter, is an exclusive and beautiful gastronomic experience that highlights incredible ingredients and exceptional technique.

Senia’s name is a play on the word “xenia”, the ancient Greek ideology of hospitality where strangers and friends alike were treated with the same regard. It is in that spirit that we welcome you to join us.

The a la carte menu is top-notch on any night, but go for the tasting menu that won the Hale ‘Aina Award for Hawaiʻi's best tasting menu when you want to celebrate. You might find dishes like Kona kampachi with charred Asian pear or venison tartare with housemade naan, which shine in the elegant dining room with exposed brick walls and curved black-leather banquettes.

With only eight seats available, the Chefs’ Counter dining experience is exclusive and immersive, placing you in the vibrant kitchen environment and allowing you to interact directly with our culinary team. The tasting menu brings the talents of Chef Anthony Rush and his team into focus: sourcing the highest quality seasonal ingredients, preserving the purity and beauty of those ingredients, and collaboratively developing technique and composition. The results are original and inspired dishes, perfectly presented, and culminating as a beautiful and carefully considered gastronomic experience. The Tasting Menu is available Fridays and Saturdays with one seating at 6:30pm.

First I’m going to say this is my favorite place on Oahu to have dinner. We’ve done dinner here multiple ways. Standard menu, tasting menu, apps and drinks, mix and match it all. I love the food, I love the service, I love the bar staff, my only complaint if you want to call it that is that it’s a touch pricey. All from scratch and super fresh I expect expensive, but I think this place is 5-10% high on their prices. Now I will admit I happily pay my tab every time I go here, so my concern on their price is just me being a realist. The important parts; the food is great and the service is always better than the food. So be prepared for a pricey but amazing dining experience.

What an extraordinary dining experience. Not only deliciously creative, but also exquisite presentation. It was obvious that the staff in the dining room and the kitchen were so very pleased to share their art with their guests.

Senia is an incredible dining experience! It was our first time and sat at the chefs counter (open table experience). We arrived a little early and were able to get seated right away and ordered a couple cocktails- both drinks were incredibly balanced and were food friendly.. then our server Nick explained the wine pairings for the evening which we added on and so glad we did. The wines are explained along with each course, and we cannot stop talking about this dinner. Each course was insanely good and had depths of flavor that I don’t know how to describe. 11/10 all around. If you have a special occasion or reason to celebrate, I cannot recommend this enough!

During my recent visit to Honolulu, I had the distinct pleasure of experiencing the 10-course tasting menu at Senia, a restaurant that exemplifies culinary excellence. Situated in the heart of Honolulu, Senia offers a sophisticated and intimate dining experience, blending innovative techniques with the vibrant flavors of Hawaiian cuisine. Seated at the chef's counter, I was treated to a truly bespoke experience that went beyond the restaurant's standard menu. The counter allows guests to witness the precision and artistry of Chef Anthony Rush and his team, while also enjoying engaging interactions with the chef and sommelier throughout the evening. The tasting menu was a seamless journey through inventive flavors and textures. Each dish was crafted with the finest ingredients and displayed a masterful understanding of balance. One particular highlight was the scallops with apple, raisin, and parsnip sauce. The dish was beautifully executed, with the sweetness of the apple and raisin pairing perfectly with the delicate scallops, while the parsnip sauce added depth and richness to the overall flavor profile.
