   Shan was recommended by a female duo I follow on IG...bklynmavens. The experience surpassed my expectations, every dish was delicious with a bit of spice but not to overwhelm. My dinner companion does not eat meat and our waiter suggested the Dan Dan noodles without pork and it was a home run, she's currently looking up a recipe online to attempt it at home lol. She had the prawn dry pot as well and we both did the happy dance when tasted. I was not disappointed with my duck entree that came with buns, duck was cook to perfection and the sauce was perfect for that meal. We split the coconut cotta dessert, different for us but a welcomed change, tasty yet light. We will definitely return with others to experience Shan. Thank you for the good food and service!

   In many instances fast service is really appreciated, but this had a very rushed feel to it. Not much time given to savor what was actually good food. It was really cold inside on a very cold day which did not make for a good dining experience.

   We recently dined at Shan Szechuan during Restaurant Week, and overall, the experience was just okay. The food was alright, but nothing particularly memorable. One of the main disappointments was the lack of flexibility in ordering. We had hoped to mix and match between the regular menu and the Restaurant Week menu, but they were unwilling to accommodate that request, which felt unnecessarily rigid. Service was also on the slower side. While the staff was polite, we found ourselves waiting longer than expected... While Shan Szechuan might be a good spot for those looking for a nice atmosphere, the overall experience didn’t stand out enough to make me eager to return.

   Poorly insulated front window doors make the interior uncomfortably cold. Delicious dishes that should arrive hot to the table cools off immediately. Very unfortunate.

   Our first time, and we will be back. The food was delicious and came out relatively on time considering how busy they were. The staff was kind and courteous, but, stretched a little thin.

   Booked this for my wife and some visiting friends for Christmas Eve dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. Our friends are all international, spending their first Christmas in the States away from their families and thought it was fun to go out to eat. They really enjoyed the entire experience. Great service and food, and we really loved the lights throughout the restaurant. Thanks for making our holiday special!
