   The service is always friendly and efficient, the food is reliably top notch so we always have a great experience at The Shibden Mill Inn. It was made even more special with a little treat because it was my birthday. We'll be going back again soon

   Reservation process was easy as was ability to make changes. Food options such as a vegan menu were plentiful. The sticky toffee pudding is yummy! A must visit when in Halifax!!

   Very disappointing. We had not been to The Shibden Mill Inn for a Sunday roast for quite a while, but even still, we remembered it was the best Sunday roast we'd ever had! We were expecting the same standard of food and had recommended it to the friends who came with us. Such a shame we were all really disappointed. The Vegetables were barely cooked - we like our veg to have a crunch but the green beans were almost raw. The roast potatoes were really hard. And they are famed for their cauliflower cheese, but the cauli was really hard and the sauce very watery. I think they used to put marmite in it for extra flavour but it lacked flavour this time. And the sticky toffee pudding seemed not fully cooked, it was really stodgy. Service was great, but food not so. And when you're paying £35 per person, you expect better...

   Lovely restuarant nestled in the valley offering good food in plesant surroundings. Great that they were able to accommodate gluten free options with a separate menu when asked.

   One of our favourite restaurants and it never disappoints. Food was amazing and the staff were really good. All set in a wonderfully relaxed country pub setting.

   Fabulous food and wonderful service… especially loved the salmon salad and my son very much enjoyed his roast beef roast Excellent French cocktail to start 🍸

   Usually have a great time, but was disappointed with the roast on Mothers Day. The beef was a tiny portion and very fatty. It was asked for pink, but came partially burnt at one end and very dry and tough. No carrots - just about 8 green beans and tasteless red cabbage. Hoping it was just because it was a busy day. The service was great however and a lovely venue.

   We came to Shibden Mill Inn for the "Let the Chefs Impress" night, and it did not disappoint. Every course was thoughtful and delicious. Our favourite was the Monkfish with Clams and Sake, which had so much flavour, it was divine. We also enjoyed the wine pairing, with well-matched and some unusual wines that I would not necessarily have chosen if ordering, but really enjoyed and would definitely order again. It was a real treat and I'd definitely come to another of these special tasting nights.
