Shirley’s Restaurant & Bar offers warm hospitality and the region's flavorful bounty. It was a wonderful relaxing evening in beautiful surroundings. My food was delicious. The staff was courteous . The service was a little slow but it was New Years Eve and we were in no hurry. I would highly recommend Shirley’s.

Lunch at The Hotel Petersburg was very nice. The space was attractive and nicely restored. The food was excellent. Staff members were pleasant, but the restaurant appeared to be understaffed so service was a bit slow. Overall, a very nice experience and would recommend.

Beautiful space, lovely tableware, linen napkins and well dressed servers. Meals were pleasantly presented. Great overall vibe.

WOW! The food was outstanding! The service was prompt and attentive! The ambience was upscale and classic! Petersburg is lucky to have the restaurant and hotel!

Great service staff... very attentive and timely... checked in on us several times throughout the meal in a timely manner... Our waitress was patient with meal explanation... the atmosphere was casual yet nice... when selecting a bottle of wine, the bartender provided an option/information based on our desire.... the Host/maitre d??? Was pleasant as she seated us and checked in throughout the meal... All in all, plates were scrapped and XMAS CHEER was accomplished via a Great Meal!!!! thanks for making the holiday memorable

The Facility is newly opened-- is doing a good job, and should improve with time and experience. Nice setting in the newly renovated Historic Hotel.

We had reservations for Christmas Eve with another couple. We had a drink in the bar ( prices in the bar were more than what was charged during dinner???). The ambience was great! Looking forward to more special evenings here. Just a couple of things to fine tune but recommend this experience.

Had lunch at Shirley’s today, and it was delicious! Service was excellent and the restaurant’s decor/atmosphere made it very enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon!

Shirley's is the best thing that has happened in Old Towne Petersburg in a very long time. The food is superb, the service is wonderful and I cannot wait to go back. I have been there for lunch twice and I highly recommend the tomato bisque that comes with a delicious mini cornbread and the new "composed salad" is outstanding, especially with the southern buttermilk dressing. Desserts are unique and so tasty. My favorite part of the meal each time was that I had coffee with warm cream. I have never had that at a restaurant before. Service is outstanding and atmosphere is so nice. I highly recommend Shirley's for lunch. I love it!
