   Shirley’s has delicious food served in a beautiful setting. Waitstaff was very friendly. We felt very comfortable sitting for a long time talking and never felt rushed. Our waitress gave great recommendations for both beer and wine. Our dinner was delicious!

   The meal was good. There were 3 of us and we had the hamburger (delicious), the salmon (very food), and the roasted chicken( not good, tough and reheated). The prices were very high for Petersburg, VA. Or waitress never offered more water or drinks. She seemed distracted. We returned for breakfast this morning and after a 45 minute wait we left. The restaurant was not that busy to be hid slow. Th err e was only one waiter working.

   What a lovely evening dining at Shirley's. Our shareable, entrees, and desserts were delicious. Service (Kirk) and host (Michelle?) were gracious and helpful. We will return to Hotel Petersburg's lovely restaurant every time we are in town.

   We took my daughter's prom pictures on the rooftop last weekend. The view was beautiful and picturesque. We had such a great time that we decided to make reservations for the Mother's Day brunch. Once again, this restaurant did not disappoint us. The ambiance in the courtyard was very laid back and peaceful. The food was flavorful and simply delicious!!! I love this hidden gem! Thanks Old Town Petersburg!

   Shirley's has a great ambiance of traditional southern hospitality. The day was beautiful and warm so we chose to be seated on the patio. Our server was friendly and attentive. My Aperol Spritz was on point. Brunch is served buffet style and is all you can eat. The food was plentiful but was only good not great. Lots of bread and high carb food choices. I am sorry to say, for the price it was not a good value.

   Made reservations for rooftop… as it turns out reservations were not needed because it is first come first serve for the tables… very limited selection of bar food only on roof… no waitstaff on roof, needed to go to bar to order drinks and food… we skipped the food… we ended up downstairs on the first floor dining area… again a very limited selection of dishes… very disappointing experience

   The service was great! Grown up Tasteful atmosphere and the FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Must come back !!!

   Five for lunch, ordered a beer and beer was not available. We then ordered lunch. Appitizers, salads along with 3 entrees all arrived at same time (about 45 minutes). One lunch arrived about 10 minutes later and one lunch never arrived at all. Service was horrible in every way. The appetizer was cold, salad was pitiful. The lunch selections were ok except for mine which I never received.

   All in all it was a good experience. We were a party of 4 on the rooftop. The arrival process is a bit confusing . There was no one at the podium near the elevator. We had to ask front desk staff how to get to the rooftop. Everyone gets escorted up and down the elevator. Bartending staff have to Radio for someone to bring you back down. When you use the bathroom, let someone in your party know so they can open the door to let you back out into the rooftop.There’s no table service on the rooftop. Everything gets ordered at the bar and then you bring back to the table, including food. Limited draft menu on the rooftop. The food was excellent.

    We were in Petersburg overnight for a work trip and stayed at the Hotel Petersburg. The restaurant was an extension of the hotel ambiance. The food was very good! We will be back.
