Food and service were great. The pork soup was outstanding. Gainey pinot was excellent. Wife had sushi, son had the steak. Overall I would give it an A. Although we will not be going back, because it was so noisy that you could not talk.

The service at Shorebird was perfect, the food was excellent and we loved our table by the stairs. Food is a little pricey but very good.

This was our second time at Shorebird in Palm Desert. Our first experience was outstanding. Absolutely perfect evening, experience and service. So, we booked again and took a friend from out of town. We were greeted very nice and seated right away. Our server (after about 5++ minutes) came over and very rushed. Took a drink order, 15+ minutes later our bottle of wine was delivered. We ordered our food and my husband ordered the wedge salad and it came with a very small amount of lettuce. Our waiter no where to be found, he went up and told the manager and they brought him a new one that was more like the one he had the first time. We ordered our meal and I had the El Paseo Role and it was outstanding. Our friend ordered the scallops and she loved them. My husband ordered the beef stew and they brought him a 1/2 grilled cheese and tomato soup. Just ok. They brought us a chocolate desert to split to make up for everything else. So, our overall experience this time was not good! I really hope as a new restaurant on El Paseo, they get things figured out!

We had a lovely dinner at Shorebird. The menu is varied and has something for everyone, from sushi to sandwiches, to fish dishes and ribeye steaks. Everything was yummy! Our servers were very helpful and not pushy. We’ll go back.

Service was spotty, the bar crowd loud and rowdy and the food mediocre. Atmosphere is quite nice but with bar so loud it ruined our experience.

Food and service were over the top. The only negative were, it was way too warm inside (considering it was 68° outside) and the wooden chair legs on the wood floor were like nails on a chalkboard!
